Writing music can be one of the hardest things to do, but it can also be the most rewarding. Writing music is my passion. I have developed a curriculum designed to break down the process of writing music through a theoretical, conceptual and creative approach. I believe creativity is something that can be taught. Like any type of music, it is a skill that when practiced the right way, can improve. I can teach composition of any genre of music from singer-songwriter music, to rock/pop to advanced modern jazz. Together we will work to help you write your own songs and unlock the creativity you have in you.

About Pablo

With years of teaching and gigging experience in a wide variety of musical styles, I can teach students whatever they are interested in learning. I believe the most musical improvement occurs when the student is having fun with the process of learning. My lessons are a fun and relaxed environment w

We are loving cello with Quinn! We had her in person before COVID and now online. She does a great job of guiding the learning process and working with the student (my daughter as an individual)

My 9 yr old daughter began cello lessons with Quinn about 2 weeks before lockdown started. I was worried that online lessons wouldn't work out, but Quinn has been amazing. She's great at explaining everything so that my daughter understands, and she pushes just enough to keep her interested without being overwhelmed. She also answers questions promptly by email when any problems arise. I can't recommend her highly enough!

She’s a very patient, encouraging teacher and I’ve had a great experience learning from her!

Galina has been working with our 8th grade son on bassoon for a year and he loves it! She is a kind, generous, and knowledgeable teacher. She has patiently prepared him for auditions, improving his technique and musicality, but she also makes lessons fun by playing duets with him. She is also teaching him to make reeds. And she is very easy to work with in scheduling, and has seamlessly moved to remote lessons in the current situation. We are lucky to have found her as a teacher.

"We're searching for our own voice, for the greatest version of ourselves. With lifelong experience and his own personal library of exercises hardwired into his brain, Val is the perfect instructor to lead us to the promise land. His ability to dissect what is happening inside our vocal instrument is uncanny, and he packs the ability to translate this to the student effectively. Each lesson is customized to the needs of the student, and he also involves music theory when necessary to better help us understand and visualize the task at hand.

In my time spent with Val, I have seen week to week improvements both as a singer and as a song writer. I am grateful to have connected with Val as I am excelling in my craft each day and taking the steps to reach the potential he sees in me as a vocalist and musician."

"I have been playing guitar for about 20 years, but have been mostly self-taught, and was looking for an instructor who could help me correct poor technique as well as help give some more focus to my learning. William has helped me immensely by teaching and reinforcing in me proper habits of playing, the lack of which have long held my playing back. He has also given me concrete goals to work on on a weekly basis to help me continue growing."

"Eric is the 3rd vocal instructor I’ve had on take lessons and he is by far the best vocal coach I’ve ever had. He’s done so much to help me improve my voice. All my life i had pain in my throat while singing and it only took Eric about 30 days (4 lessons) to get that pain to completely disappear. I feel like my singing voice has changed dramatically since beginning my lessons with Eric about 2 and half months ago. He really goes out of his way to ensure that i understand each exercise and he’s always looking for ways to help take me to the next level."
