It was my daughter's first contact with professional acting.
She has been talking about being an actress for quite a while now, so we decided to let her take a few lessons to see if she likes it.
Ollie was really comprehensive of our needs and made us see the big picture of that world... just what we needed, to start walking into that direction on the right path.
My daughter had a wonderful time with Ollie.

I booked 4 acting sessions with Ms. Ollie for my daughter. Ms. Ollie did a phenomenal job starting from scratch, coaching my daughter for her up coming audition. My daughter had no acting experience, she was shy, and soft spoken but in just 4 short days, Ms. Ollie turned her into a confident, outspoken young actress. My daughter nailed her audition thanks to Ollie!! I will highly recommend her as your acting coach.

Bgcheck Background Checked

I have taught and directed for 30 years in NY and DC. From lesson 1, students engage with a dynamic approach to acting through Meisner-based improv. During the 1st 12 weeks, we go from basic truthful acting to dynamic scene work, followed by 12 weeks of in-depth scene study, then extensive character training and in-depth film and audition technique. My students are successful in film, theater, commercials and TV in DC, NY and LA.

About Robert

I have taught acting for over 30 years based in the Meisner Technique, and I write and direct my own plays and films. I have years of experience as an actor, jazz saxophone player, singer and poet, as well as a philosophy degree, which I bring to my understanding of acting. I use this rich backgro

I am a professional educator, actor and talent agent. I began my training with 3 years at Second City learning improv which I have utilised personally and professionally for 20 years. Improv lessons are fun, they require risks and they build great mental agility. Improv is not just for comics- it is for anyone who is shy or anxious about speaking well in public. You get to practice mindfulness - considerably less expensive than therapy- and is a highly creative outlet. You will learn to tune into the people around you and slow down your thinking. In Improv, there is only the present moment. Your moment is now!

Keomi is amazing. She is an excellent teacher: She can adapt to even the most beginner of students, gives great instructions/cues and is bright, fun, and positive all while remaining grounded with an eye for detail.

Keomi has a lot of positive energy and is sensitive to the the skill levels of her students so she tailors her classes to give just enough challenge while building on students’ strengths and experiences.
Keomi gives a great cardio workout where you really sweat yet the class is so fun that you don’t notice how hard you are working!
You WILL learn many classic hip hop moves which Keo strings together to make a sexy/cool but accessible choreography. You come out of class feeling blissed - both for the vigorous workout and for accomplishing the dance moves! This is a great class for all levels.

"Ms. Mozhgan Hudiburgh, or Mojy has a lot to share with her students. She is very energetic, polite, friendly, classy and flexible. She taught my daughter "Belly Dance" and "Persian Dance" in a very short time and in the most fun way. She knows a lot about the culture, dance, music, religion of both American and Persian/ Mediterranean people. My daughter loves her a lot and she wouldn't change anything about Mojy and she wouldn't replace her with anyone. She has already learned a lot from Mojy. Mojy is very nice to kids and understands the kids' world. Mojy teaches the dance using the folklore terminology of the dance and music. She translates the songs into English for us to have a better understanding and feeling of this rich cultural dance and moves. She has her adorable own-created moves . We enjoy being around her and her teaching style. I am going to learn Persian and Mediterranean cooking from her, too. :-)"

"Amelia Nickels is and forever will be one of the best acting coaches I've ever had the pleasure of studying under. I've come across many of coaches who typically only push their favorite style or method of acting and that be it and if it doesn't agree with you the result will always be tragic. Ms. Nickels worked with me hand in hand to push out some of my best and most emotional pieces ever. Her years of experience have taught her all the tricks of the trade to push you and the product; whether it be introducing a silent character into your monologue to get a more physical and visceral reaction out of you or having you run continuously back and forth in a room to help control your breathing and pace, she has it all. She cares about her craft and more so she cares about her students who just may get so lucky as to call her friend. Not to mention I once auditioned for an NBC casting representative, John Ort (yeah that guy), who saw Amelia Nickels' name on my resume and had the most glowing things to say about her. I'm not saying her connections will land you on John Ort's Modern Family (which I hear he won awards for that casting) but what I am saying is that even after half a decade from training with her her tutelage still carries with me on every script I memorize, commercial copy I tackle, or sides I inflect (I'm not sure that's a word). She's the Vince Lombardi of acting coaches, the Julia Childs of teaching techniques, she's the single best acting decision I've ever made."
