Pre-Reading Short Lesson 1
In this short sample class, your child will be taught the letters A, M, S, and T. We talk about each letter and sound, then read some CVC words with these letters. This is a quick sampling of one of my 30-minute live classes. I teach 4 days a week, plus do 1 on 1 tutoring up to grade 3

Mini-Lesson 1, Letter A
In this mini-lesson, we go over the letter A: name and sound. Why do I use lowercase letters in my lessons? When we read we read more lowercase letters than uppercase letters. Look at all the sentences I just wrote, how many uppercase letters are there? How many lowercase? This has been a proven way to teach letters, I do, teach both throughout my larger lessons, but still focus on lowercase letters. My phonics/reading classes are 30 minutes long, we learn 4 letters a week and learn how to make CVC words with the 4 letters we make. My live sessions go over these every week, plus you can watch the videos as often as you would like. After each live lesson, your student will receive the video for the class and other downloads to help extend the lessons at home.

Debbie worked with my 5 Year old and twin 2 year old daughters. They excelled in all areas in their lives while in her care. She taught my 5 year old daughter to read beginner books something she was very resistant to and our 2 year olds learned counting, shapes, colors and how to be kind to one another. My girls love Mrs. Debbie!
