This is part one in a series that explores a variety of recurring concepts in history. Each week you will have the opportunity to explore one concept, starting with watching a narrated (by me!) video that defines the concept, provides many examples, and connects the concept to historical thinking skills (causation, chronology, change, and continuity.) Then you will be given an (optional) assignment that allows for application and exploration while you find your own examples and connect them to other concepts.
This lesson focuses on "Belief Systems" as they impact history. The enduring question we explore is, "What about religions and belief systems has stayed the same over the years, and what has changed?"
