Adjectives are words that describe or modify nouns. They give more details about the noun by telling us what kind, how many, or what size it is. For example, in the sentence "The big brown dog ran quickly," "big" and "brown" are adjectives because they describe the dog, and "quickly" is an adverb because it describes how the dog ran.

In first grade, students begin to learn about adjectives through interactive activities and games. They might learn to identify adjectives in sentences, use adjectives to describe objects, or even create their own descriptive sentences using adjectives. It's a fun and engaging way to expand their vocabulary and improve their writing skills.

By the end of first grade, students should be able to recognize and use common adjectives such as colors, sizes, and shapes. They will continue to build on this foundation in the years to come, as they learn more complex grammar and writing skills.

How is grammar taught in school? 
The standard and traditional way grammar is typically taught is by separating the two subjects. For example, grammar is learning nouns one week and then verbs the next week, and so on and so on. This type of teaching takes weeks to learn basic foundational grammar. We implement a completely different approach.  

What sets me apart from the typical writing class? 
I believe that learning should be fun and captivating, which is why I have incorporated interactive and engaging elements into my lessons. Say goodbye to dry textbooks and monotonous lectures! My PROVEN and INNOVATIVE approach challenges and encourages students to learn multiple grammar standards during each session by using positive repetitions!
