From the first lesson, our son (11) was excited and engaged! He even play his trumpet for fun !
As a parent, I am pleased with the balanced instruction/practice ratio that has instilled responsibility and dedication without being overwhelming and frustrating.

What I like most is; Jarrod loves music and teaching! He addresses success and challenges with enthusiasm, support and encouragement, equally.

I love sharing the techniques I've honed working with Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare and other Tony award winning theaters. We will work on techniques to "own the space", be heard, quickly drop into a character, raise the stakes, and make choices to create an exhilarating performance.
From numerous TV shows like Superstore, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Fresh Off The Boat, E.R., The Thundermans, Lady Dynamite, Happy Endings and Henry Danger, to theater at The Tony Award winning Steppenwolf Theater, Chicago Shakespeare, National Playwrights Conference and numerous others, my 20 year actin

I just love our sessions. Sara Ann is a very experienced teacher and defines essential problems right away. I am amazed by her profound knowledge of subject, intelligence, creative teaching approach, charming style and genuine desire to help her students."
Speaking to his abilities, he has been a knowledgable member of the creative and musical communities for his entire life. His talents are wide reaching and numerous. He also teaches with worldly experience. Randy gives room for the student to figure things out for themselves while still providing the desired support needed for progress and growth.
Randy is a mentor of mine. After spending only a short amount of time learning from him, I knew that I was not only gaining superior knowledge and training but a lifelong friend.
I was lucky enough to grow up right down the street from his home, but we've also worked in studio and online.
Anyway you slice it:
You hit the jackpot by hiring this guy."
She was so attentive to ALL her students, no matter your level. She always found time to work with you in whatever you were struggling with. She really truly cared about us. It was unlike anything I'd experienced with any other teacher I'd have ever. At one point, I was victim to some intimidation from another student in my class. Alex was the first person I confided in and she guided me through what I should do and how I should handle it, she was completely there for me, even allowing me to call her past 10pm to calm me down after one particularly bad encounter with said student.
Her lessons are prepared, structured and completely engaging. Somehow she is able to detect exactly what you personally need to work on and makes sure you are offered the most appropriate advice that best suits your personal needs. I can't even quite express how much I have learnt from her in the short four months that she was my teacher. She has exposed me to so many different techniques and exercises which, through her guidance, afforded me the opportunity to choose what worked for me.
If there is one thing that you cannot deny about Alex, she genuinely cares about her students, sometime to the detriment of her own life. She is an extraordinary teacher and an even more exceptional woman.
As cliche as this is, she inspires me to not only be a better actor, but to just be a better person."
To disagree with a previous review, i’ve never heard her use any anti-racist or political views. She doesn’t expect me to behave like her, and when she teaches she uses “I” and “I” is the student.
I am happy that I took vocal training from her."
Contemporary dance is the most expressive and subjective dance form, making it more accessible to outsiders and helpful as a supplement to other dance training. Contemporary choreography techniques help dancers harness the energy and emotion of their own bodies, resulting in a more fluid and organic form of movement that can appear effortless and completely improvised to the casual observer. You have a lot of options when it comes to learning, practicing, and performing modern dance. And with t …
