I've been teaching private lessons for over a decade now. First I taught lessons as a self-employed college student, and then my during graduate studies I worked through a music academy in Dallas. I've been playing piano for over 20 years and guitar and drums for 15. I've been in various bands, personally recorded several albums of my own compositions, and have taught students from ages 7-17 consistently. I teach part time as a high school teacher in the area and I enjoy helping young people learn, whether it's guitar, piano, drums, or even psychology *** Lesson Details *** I'm very laid back when it comes to lessons, but I do expect students to spend at least 90 minutes weekly practicing so our lessons will be productive. I started playing the drums at the age of ten and have been playing for thirty-three years. I played snare drum and bass drum in symphonic band in junior high and high school. I played in the Drum and Bugle Corps while in the Air Force. We marched in parades and won several awards for excellence. I have played in three Christian bands and one rock band. I have also played drum kit and percussion in church for several years. I completed the Drum Set Fundamentals course with Berklee College of Music in 2012. I have already completed my general education courses of Mathematics and Freshman Composition and have a GPA of 4.0 in all my classes.
