About Liesl
Currently, I offer private voice lessons for everything from sacred music to rock and roll style songs to classical and opera. I find this diversity of work to be a stimulating and exciting exploration of not only the students’ musical skills, but to expand my own “bag-of-tricks” as a music educator. My students range from ages 5 to 75 and we all have tons of fun making music!

Music is a gateway to the soul, and part of what builds into their own self-identity. I currently serve as the music director for the adult choir and children’s programs at a Lutheran Church in California.

My music degrees from Westminster Choir College and San Francisco State University have helped me grow as a vocal soloist and professional performer as well as an educator. I have been a featured artist at many concerts and events around Northern California,
and have performed with many of the area’s opera companies, such as Pocket Opera and Island City Opera.

Education is important to me, and although I have my Master of Music in voice teaching and performance, I often attend workshops, trainings, and other continuing education programs so that my students can receive the best training I can offer.

I am a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA).

As a trained teacher coach for twenty years, I observe and provide feedback for educators. Excellent teaching techniques apply to all content areas, including music. Liesl teaches with positive energy. She models all of the vocal exercises before expecting the student to carry them out. When providing corrective feedback, Liesl acknowledges the correctness of the singers approximation, and follows up with a next step. She teaches students to use the correct body alignment and breathing techniques to sing correctly as well preserve the vocal cords. She is fun and dedicated to her craft.

About Emily
At the age of four, I began studying violin at the Colburn School of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, California. I was trained using the Suzuki Method until the age of nine. Throughout my adolescent years I competed in solo violin competitions, performed in numerous orchestras, attended prestigious music festivals, & began teaching! I received my Bachelors Degree in Violin Performance from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California and my Masters Degree in Violin Performance from DePaul in Chicago. After intensively studying with instructors and performers from all over the world, I developed a diverse teaching philosophy that allows me to customize lessons to each student's needs. I am a very positive, supportive, & energetic person who knows how challenging it is to learn an instrument so I try to make it as fun as possible! Whether
you or your child's goal is to become a professional or to become professionally awesome at "Twinkle", I look forward to helping you achieve it!

I try to get a lesson from Leanna whenever she is in my area. I am an adult who has returned to playing after many years. She has been helping me with techniques to improve vibrato, intonation, etc. She is very good working on the mechanics to improve my sound. Leanna is very good at giving specific things to try and is always positive and encouraging.

I sought Gabriels assistance in preparing me for an upcoming vocal Audition and to help me work out the kinks of whatever bad habits i may have deveoped over the summer. He himself has an amazing voice and charming personality. It helps to have an instructor that has been through auditions to give you pointers. He has an amazing ear as well, so he catches things—like if you tighten up on a note—and is quick to correct you. Each class i have walked away learning something new, and having something previously learned reinforced. He is well worth the time and money. Very professional.

A great teacher....my son is of intermediate/advance level. He focuses on his strength and abilities. Never heard him say 'that's wrong' but instead he would explain into more details what the mistake was. Very patient teacher and well worth 45mins travel each way to his studio.

Dave is very knowledgeable and will work with you in any genre or style of music. As an older student I felt totally comfortable with Dave from the very first notes struck. I would highly recommend Dave to anyone wishing to improve their guitar skills....but dont expect to be playing like Clapton immediately!
My only issue is the long drive from Vero Beach to his studio. Something to take into consideration.

I am honored to finally write a review for Maria!

Having already been a musician for a decade on various other instruments, I was looking for a teacher that could help me learn technique for piano. I found Maria on this website and have never had a better private teacher.

She quickly adapted to my experience level, gave constant feedback, called me on my mistakes (in the nicest way possible) and encouraged me to succeed.

I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to learn piano, regardless of your musical background. She is a wonderful, kind, incredibly knowledgeable teacher and is a very welcoming and encouraging person. I am so glad to have had her as my teacher.

Guitar Lessons:
I have been jamming with my friends for years replicating some of the most iconic guitar musical pieces to come from the 60's, 70's and 80's. I have been playing for 15 years and have a more specialized pocket of knowledge than other teachers. I can teach anyone from never picked up a guitar know nothing about music all the way to a proficient player that wants to learn how to play or sound like their favorite guitarist/band. I am starting to teach and I would like to build a good reputation. I would love the opportunity to be the the teacher to you.

Algebra Lessons:
In middle school I found that I had a penchant for math. I was always in the 98-100% range every marking period and that continued all through out high school. I have been giving tutoring lessons through out my high school years. I graduated with honors f
rom Danville High School. My most satisfying accomplishment has to be helping my best friend literally graduate. He was taking Pre-Alegbra and was barley passing. He calls at 11 pm with the final at 8:30 am that decides if he passes or fails and can graduate. I stayed up and reviewed the entire years curriculum until 7 am the next day. Needless to say he passed and was able to graduate with us. Ever since I wanted to help anyone that needs help understand the challenging subject of mathematics. I hope I can can do the same for you.
