I have taken and taught courses in Excel 97-2003, 2007 and 2010. I teach formulas, statistical functions, tables, formatting, v-look-ups, etc. I honed these Excel skills while working as a Financial Analyst with Goodyear and an IT Auditor with Rockwell Automation.

Let's work together and let me unlock your potential!

About Matthew
Dear Parents and Students,

May I be a personal tutor for you or your child? I have been successfully tutoring for over 12 years. I have great references, and I am one of the top tutors because I am so easy to work with. I teach in person, or via TakeLessons classroom, telephone, Skype, FaceTime, Google Hangouts, Join.me, Appear.in, Screenhero (remote desktop, screen sharing) interactive whiteboards, as well as email attachments (PDF, Word, Excel, etc.) I graduated with honors, Summa Cum Laude from Case Western Reserve University, where I made the Dean's List. I also earned a Provost Academic Scholarship for my excellent test scores, including 34 in ACT mathematics and 780 in SAT mathematics.

In addition to teaching for Cleveland schools, I currently teach 20 private sessions each week, 1st through 12th grade, as well as college stud
ents and business professionals. I have also served on the faculty at Cuyahoga Community College.

I am patient, friendly and many students tell me that I explain concepts more effectively than their teachers. I am available weekdays or weekends, days or nights, throughout the entire year. I would be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding my experience and teaching methods. While it should go without saying, I have a clean background that has been verified by the FBI and BCII. Let me know if you would like to set up an introductory lesson to design a customized strategy. There is no obligation to continue unless a customer is 100% satisfied.

I am one of the Top Five Tutors for:
1. most diverse subject matter
2. widest student age range
3. farthest geographical regions
4. largest client base
5. most hours taught monthly

Please note: I have set up my billing in thirty minute increments. Thus, I am able to offer lessons of varying lengths. However, I would appreciate longer sessions. I thank you for your time and consideration and look forward to being at your service!

Matthew was a great instructor for Intermediate level Excel training. He was able to help me with navigational tips and shortcuts, formulas and totals between sheets within one spreadsheet, as well as understanding Vlookup functionality. I highly recommend Matthew if you are in need of Excel training.

I'm a graduate of UCLA School of Engineering with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. I have a passion for explaining how the physical world works through math and physics along with 9 years of tutoring experience in those subjects, test prep, and mentorship programs. The teaching strategy I believe in emphasizes subject fundamentals, a powerful and necessary tool for higher problem solving. This strategy has proven very effective regardless of the student's educational background or mental ability. Besides being knowledgeable, I am motivating, caring, and patient in guiding your student to academic success!

Executive Functioning is a separate realm that tutoring can assist in. It deals with cognitive processes including organization, time management, and study skills. Much of the difficulty students face in academic subje
cts can be attributed to the lack of executive functioning. They either cannot keep up with the pace and workload that advanced courses demand or haven't figured out the best way to study for themselves. I am able to assess a student's shortcomings and formulate a plan for higher achievement.

Math:
• Elementary • Pre-Algebra • Algebra 1 & 2 • Geometry • Pre-Calculus
• Trigonometry • AP Calculus • Business Calculus • Differential Equations

Physics:
• AP Physics 1 & 2 • College Physics

Test Prep:
• SAT I & II • ACT • ISEE • SSAT • HSPT • GRE • and more

Computers:
• MS Word • Excel • PowerPoint • Adobe Acrobat • General Windows/MAC

Mentorship:
• Grade Monitoring • Teacher Collaboration

Executive Functioning:
• Organization • Time Management • Study Skills

• Completely turned around achievement and self-confidence of mentored students
• Track record of student improvement particularly in math and physics

I was struggling with calculus 1 at SMC and felt very intimidated before Daniel came along. He helped me understand what calculus was all about and always explained new concepts clearly. Daniel went above and beyond his duties and was always on time. I ended up with an A and would highly recommend Daniel to any student with math needs.

I have taught students how to use Microsoft Excel— its many functions and also its usefulness for organizing certain work functions. I have used many different versions of Excel for work purposes. I also have knowledge of how to use Excel in a Google Doc, so one could share the spreadsheet instantaneously over the Internet and see changes made by other collaborators. I mostly use Excel for several of my part-time jobs to organize small data points into "cells," or boxes that store the information in a meaningful way, and can be sorted later into any order that one desires.

About Rachel
I am a graduate of Loyola University Chicago. I hold a B.A. in French. I have an extensive background teaching and tutoring others, especially in ESL, English, French and special education. I also have additional experience tutoring many other subjects, such as Spanish, elementary education, biology, pre-calculus, essay writing and history.

I have a true love of tutoring and helping others. I work well with children and adults of all ages. Thank you for sharing your interest in learning!

My teacher and I spoke by phone for my first lesson, but her phone had poor reception so I was not able to get the benefit of a full lesson. The second and third lessons were unsuccessful as well I need an alternative so that I can work with another teacher locally. I am not familiar enough with this on line process to be successful with my lessons. I have paid for lessons that i have not received. Please advise.

I have been using computers over 15 years in a business environment. I have worked with Microsoft Excel and Word, Outlook for E Mail and the Internet. I am an advanced user of both pc desktops and notebooks. Beyond the word processor, the most important thing computers have done for us is the invention of the spread sheet, and today that means Microsoft Excel. As a former investment professional, I've worked on every version of spreadsheet, presentation and calculation software, and also taught it wherever I worked. There's nothing more impressive or attractive to an employer than someone who can customize and calculate the essentials of the business they are in, or understand and improve upon the spread sheets that others have done. I can help you learn how to prepare spreadsheets using simple formulas, formatting, sorting, etc. and use this skill for school work and the workplace.

I've had students that only need a one or two-session refresher with a few new tips, to those who ...

About Keith
I have an MBA in finance and more than 10 years of experience in Capital Markets & Banking, as an Investment Analyst. I have conducted financial analysis of companies across most industry sectors, and I have tutored clients through their Executive MBA programs resulting in a 3.96 G.P.A. I specialize in taking the most complex subject matter and simplifying it, as well as, relating it to real world examples.

I can provide tutoring in such business subjects as: accounting, business, financial management, financial analysis, economics, management, marketing, social media training, investments, sales training, technology, marketing, and investment analysis.

I have over four years in toastmasters, which is an incredible organization for improving your communication skills. I attended Adelphi University, Garden City, NY, where I received
a M.B.A in banking and finance. I attended State University at Old Westbury, Old Westbury, NY, where I received a B.S. in business.

My approach is to create a collaborative, non-judgmental learning environment, and my goal is to help you internalize the "learning" so that you own the material, and not just know the subject matter. I invite you to contact me, so that I can learn about what weaknesses or challenges you are facing, and together we can develop tools and strategies around these areas of improvement.

I have been studying martial arts for over 15 years, read a book a week, and am technology savvy.

I will provide you with the skills and understanding you need to feel confident in Microsoft Excel. First I'll go over the elements and menu basics. Then we'll practice formatting cells, using formulas, inserting rows and columns, creating graphs, exporting to .csv files, importing .csv files, and creating practical documents like budgets and inventories. Along the way, I'll show you some formatting shortcuts to save time creating functional, yet attractive spreadsheets.

About Joy
I am a graduate of UC San Diego (bachelor of arts, sociology) and UCLA (master of public policy). As a child of immigrant parents, I value diversity and love learning languages. I read, write and speak Spanish fluently, and have intermediate command of both Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese in reading, writing, and speech.

Photography has been one of my main areas of focus for over ten years. I am trained in both film and digital formats and specialize in demystifying the DSLR so that you gain a good understanding of manual settings and how to use each to improve your photos.

Caring, compassion, and understanding are essential for learning and I strive to do my best in these areas.

Excel! What a fun program. The way Excel works is very similar to Data-Flow programming languages like LabVIEW. Change one piece of data and it flows to the rest of the worksheet. You can make all sorts of focused calculators with Excel.

About Daniel
I have a Bachelors degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. I currently run the Computer Lab at an elementary school in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have been running the Computer Lab since the 2013/2014 school year. In the Computer Lab I have been teaching Elementary Math and Typing and Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. In college, I learned math all the way up to Calculus 2. I also type between 60 and 70 WPM (Words per Minute). I speak, natively, the Standard American dialect of English. I also speak the Castillian dialect of Spanish.

Teaching is a recently discovered professional passion of mine. I love working with kids and I relate to them really well. At this writing, I'm currently exploring the world of tutoring and I may expand my list of subjects as I get a better feel for things.

Are you still reading? Great, I'll keep wri
ting. If you know about the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I'm an INTJ (Introverted iNtuititive Thinking Judging). If you know Astrology, I prefer the Sidereal Zodiac, I'm Aquarius Sun, Virgo Moon, Scorpio Rising. I have passed the Mensa entrance exam.

I'm a gamer, a computer nerd and, possibly, a part-time otaku. I love watching cartoons and Anime, especially action/adventure shows. In World of Warcraft my preferred character is the Worgen/Tauren Feral Druid with the Engineering Profession. I love Sword Art Online, Accel World, Log Horizon and Miraculous Ladybug. I've read Harry Potter, Percy Jackson and pretty much anything mythological written by Rick Riordan. I'm an avid reader of both Young Adult science fiction and fantasy and books that teach interesting and unusual subjects.

Daniel Reavis is a really good teacher. He corrected my math homework to help me get it correct and so I could do it correctly myself. When I got the correct answers to the problems at school, most of them were correct but occasionally I got some wrong. Then again, I went to Challenger School and they were teaching me things that he probably hadn't learned when he was at school.
