Above all I want students to enjoy learning the piano. Most people start because they love a certain type of music or wish they could just sit down and enjoy playing. My goal is to make that happen. I teach all ages, beginners and intermediate levels. I think that lessons for children need alot of variety so that they can learn from games, singing, clapping, movement and playing the piano. Of course, singing, clapping, movement and playing the piano are what we all need but without the stickers at the end of your lesson!

About Nancy

Playing the piano and loving music has been at the center of my life. Aside from the happiness and fun it can bring, learning an instrument also teaches discipline and confidence which carry over into everything. I enjoy teaching both children and adults. As I teacher I am patient and encour

There is a potential in every person to be truly great at any one thing. All it takes is hard work and honest determination, with determination being the most important. Because where determination comes, hard work follows naturally.
I hope to inspire my students to really love making music and being creative with their instruments. I can give my students all the information in the world and tips on how to improve at violin playing, but in the end it will not matter if the student has no desire to improve. And that is why I love to teach- inspiring students to love what they do!

About Abigail

Abigail Tsai  received a Bachelors of Music from the Eastman School of Music, where she was awarded a Performer's Certificate. At Eastman she studied with Professor Oleh Krysa. Hi there! I am a professional jazz, pop, and folk vocalist, pianist, and songwriter with a bachelor's degree in Jazz Voice from the University of North Texas. I firmly believe that learning more about music should be a fun, nurturing, and open-minded process (this isn't Whiplash, folks). No musician is exactly alike, so I work hard to create custom and unique curriculum for each of my students to ensure that they love the music and skills that they are working on!

My teaching incorporates many elements including healthy vocal technique, songwriting, improvisation, music theory, piano, and Finale music notation software. Whatever you're interested in, let's explore it!

I teach voice and songwriting in jazz, pop, folk, country, and R&B styles. I also teach piano and jazz theory. Contact me if you have any further questions; I'll gladly answer them all! I look forward to making music with you!

"I am a beginner harp student at the age of 64, and also a Professor with fairly high expectations. I wasn't sure what to expect from a young teacher like Becca. Within minutes I could tell she is a natural at teaching the harp. What impressed me the most was that she understands every person learns differently. She is sensitive and thus listens to the student's comments and intuitively knows how to respond in the best way. She also has a lot of patience - being a perfectionist I wanted to repeat over and over certain movements and Becca was right there with me, giving me fresh guidance along the way. I learned so much with her and will always remember our lessons with gratitude."

"I have been one of Laura's students for many years and she is honestly the best teacher a student could have! She is very knowledgable about all aspects of piano, voice, and performing techniques and is very qualified to be a teacher. She is so down to earth and cares about all of her students. I was very shy growing up, but she helped my confidence grow and encouraged me every lesson we had. She even offered me performing opportunities to gain more experience and feel more comfortable on stage. She is beyond talented and is a great role model to all young musicians. I am beyond thankful to have worked with her for so many years and have nothing but good things to say about her!"
