*** Lesson Details ***
What happens in a Lesson? In order to train your physical voice, it is necessary to do vocal exercises, in the same way that one needs to train at a gym. There is no "magic key" to unlock one's voice; it is a matter of daily practice and muscle strengthening/stretching. So, the first part of the lesson will be focused on vocal exercises specifically tailored to YOUR VOICE and its needs. The second half of the lesson is the fun part- SINGING! We will work on any songs and styles that YOU choose. Whether you want to sing Rock, Country, Pop, Musical Theater, or Classical, there is a healthy and communicative way to sing!

*** Travel Equipment ***
I provide a keyboard. The student should provide a recording device, iPhone, etc.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in Classical and Broadway style singing, but have extensive experience in Contemporary Commercial Music as well. I teach a healthy approach to all styles, and modify technical approaches towards the genre that the student is most interested in.

Don does an outstanding job! He is able to connect authentically my son and customized the lessons to fit his learning style and needs. Don has drawn so much out of him musically and has also built a community of students that play together. He makes the lessons fun and engaging. He has opened up my 7-year old to the joy of playing and performing and has helped create a love of music. I highly recommend Don as a music teacher.

Unfortunately, yesterday was my last lesson with Mark, as I am moving to Guam. I would definitely not be giving up my weekly lesson with him if that weren't the case! I've learned so much in the short couple months taking lessons from him. I would recommend him to anyone of any skill level. Very helpful and kind. :)

My daughter, Valerie, is 7 years old and has had two lessons so far with Sarah. Not only does Valerie love the lessons and looks forward to them, but I love the way Sarah talks to her and is caring and compassionate. She explains the exercises so well, praises Valerie when she does well, and gently corrects her when she misses the mark. Sarah communicates with me regarding Valerie's lesson and it is very easy to schedule lessons as well. I would highly recommend Sarah as voice coach for younger students as well as older ones!

I have now attended 5 lessons with Sarah and after one month, I learnt the correct techniques to breathe & sing. Certainly realized there's less to no pain in my throat compared to before lessons, and also have increase range comfortably. Sarah has different exercises to really help. Looking forward next to project my voice and singing consistently with the right techniques!

Hi there, I’m a Bellydance teacher and performer based in Los Angeles!

I began belly dancing at the age of twelve with Tracy Windisch at the School of Performing Arts and Cultural Education in Ukiah California. At age 14 I joined her company Troupe Sattya who performed in festivals, private parties, and shows in Northern California including Health and Harmony, Sol Fest, and Tribal Fest.

Since my teacher came from the Suhaila Salimpour studio, I am a third generation student of her style which is a fusion of Cabaret and tribal belly dance. This school of technique teaches the methodical discovery of specific muscles as a foundation in order to isolate and layer movements in a precise and healthy manner. I also have training in modern, ballet and jazz technique.
