Andrew is a fantastic teacher! He puts in hard work and creates a fun environment to learn
May 23, 2019
We have had a great experience with Andrew teaching our daughter piano. He works great with kids and has a wide range of teachable skills. He organizes fun events for his students that showcase their hard work. I am really pleased with our decision to enroll our daughter in his program, she has a lot of fun and has learned a lot in a short amount of time.
May 21, 2019
I can't choose a subject because Andrew teaches so many different things in his piano lessons that I would be doing him a disservice if I chose just one.
As a former piano lessons taker myself, I must admit that I had some lofty expectations for my daughter's piano lessons. On the first day of lessons for her, I knew that we were in great hands. Andrew has exceeded my expectations with every turn. And a fun and lighthearted way, and through games, activities, and fingers on the piano , Andrew helps the young learner learn the most important thing about music: it's fun! Theory is fun, composition is fun, ear training is fun, performance is fun. As a musician myself, I'd almost forgot. Andrew has helped me to remember, and is instilling these values in my daughter.

Voice Lesson Guidelines and Aesthetics
I am pleased that you have decided to study voice. The art of singing has been part of my life for nearly two decades, and I am honored to pass my knowledge on to you. It is my hope to pass on a joy of singing to each student, whether you desire an education or career in music or just have a song in your heart. Below you can read guidelines and procedures to ensure voice lesson success.
2) 24 hour advance notice must be given to cancel a lesson. This policy is adopted to ensure respect for my time and to encourage the student to make voice lessons a priority. To cancel a lesson within 24 hours, please e-mail me or call. Lessons cancelled with 24 hours notice will be rescheduled. If less than 24 hours notice is given, the lesson will NOT be rescheduled and a refund will NOT be given. I understand and am sensitive to the fact that a student may wake up ill the day of a lesson. In such instances, we may be able to reschedule the missed lesson if the student did not attend school that day or has a note from their primary physician. If no notice is given to cancel a lesson and the student does not arrive within the first 10 minutes of their lesson time, I reserve the right to cancel the lesson with NO refund.
3) Students must keep a log of their daily practice time which must be signed by the parent (children 15 years and younger only). I will assign specific exercises at each voice lesson that MUST be practiced daily. This will ensure practice of new technique and diminish poor vocal habits and bad vocal models. This also allows the student to progress more rapidly during lessons.
4) Repertoire selection will be based on students technical needs and level of development. I am open to students singing in most styles, however there will be a strong emphasis on the classical literature because of its fundamentals in developing the healthiest technique. Your vocal development is very important to me. With a daily regimen of vocalises and exercises, you can expect to grow to your fullest potential.
*** Studio Equipment *** All students must use a recording device in all lessons.
*** Travel Equipment *** I expect students to purchase a few books for vocalises and songs.
*** Specialties *** I specialize in the bel-canto technique of singing with a focus on opera, art song, oratorio, and have had some experience teaching musical theatre.

Elena was able to teach someone 500 miles away the basics to a slew of different Latin ballroom dances (salsa, marengue, bachata, cumbia step, etc.) In just a few lessons I was able to feel comfortable enough with the steps and timing to be able to dance in public with others! She was very amazing and was willing to accommodate to my needs as a student. She gave plenty of reference material as well as songs so that I'd be able to practice when not taking lessons. I would highly recommend her as a teacher to anyone who is wanting to learn Latin Ballroom dance, but doesn't know where to start!
I am an actor, speech & dialect coach, and acting teacher. I had steady freelance teaching and coaching jobs for 3 years in NYC, as well as steady acting work in NYC and Chicago theatre for 5 years total.
I moved to LA from Cambridge, MA, where I earned my Master's in Acting from the American Repertory Theater Institute at Harvard. I am certified in unarmed stage combat as well.
I have coached privately and for theatre productions ranging from world-premieres to revivals of Pinter plays to musicals. I love working with actors of all experience levels!
I had to learn an Irish dialect for a big audition I was called in for last minute. My friend suggested Erin to help with dialect coaching and audition coaching, and man, I'm so grateful. With Erin's training and expertise, I was able to learn the Irish dialect in an hour and nailed the audition! She has experience with multiple acting and audition techniques...she's able to speak multiple acting "languages". If you're looking for any audition coaching or dialect coaching, I definitely recommend Erin! She knows what she's doing!

I have worked with Erin on several occasions, because she is so wonderful at her job! She has helped me to prepare for numerous auditions, many of which have gone very well as a result. She is an incredible actor herself, and she uses her talent and expertise to help me be the best actor I can be. Finding my super objective in a monologue or scene, the different tactics, focus, awareness, groundedness... these are all things she has helped me to do to strengthen my own work. She is down to earth and open, which makes working with her really easy and comfortable. Performing my work in front of somebody else can be very difficult, because I often question what the viewer will think of me. Not only does Erin help me fight that fear, she helps me find the gratitude and joy in getting to perform. I highly recommend Erin as an acting coach! She’s fantastic!

Erin has coached me numerous times for auditions. I find her to be highly skilled in helping me find the truth in the work. She has a calm, supportive energy. And she's just a great person to be around!
Hey there! I'm passionate about the arts and I think you'll really enjoy taking lessons! I have over 17 years of performing experience and 5 years of teaching experience. As a spunky three-year-old, I would sing and dance to my dad's piano accompaniment at home. In my childhood, I would perform with my family at church functions. I had my first solo in a choir concert at school when I was 12. And since then, I have continued to perform solos at various athletic events, graduations, restaurants, and in competitions. I enjoy songwriting and recording covers of songs from a variety of music genres—including Pop, Christian, Adult Contemporary, R&B, Jazz, and Country.
Some of the neat opportunities I have had as a performer include: winning the top 10 in a national vocal competition in 2015, where I was featured as a soloist on artist Jenn
y Phillips’ studio album; winning 2nd place at the American Idol Experience competition at Disney World in 2014; playing “Eve” in the musical Children of Eden, at BYU-Idaho in 2010, and "Sister Mary Robert" in the musical Sister Act, through community theatre in Montana in 2018. I had a callback film audition two years ago for the role of "Beth," in an adaptation of Little Women, but instead had the fun experience of being an extra, as well as playing the lead actress's double. I submitted my original song, "Believe," written for the movie, in a competition the movie producers held--and made the top 10. Also, in 2012, I was able to be an extra in a music video starring Alex Boyé and Carmen Rassmussen--and in 2017, I was a musical theatre judge for a high school regional drama competition in Utah.
I'm currently in my fourth year of teaching music part-time at a K-8th grade school in Montana, which involves directing the Christmas musicals each year.
As a teacher, I will tailor my lessons around you, at your own pace, and will do my best to meet your individual needs as a student and performer. I am loving, creative, and meticulous--and great with children! We're going to have so much fun and I look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for the arts with you!
I loved how friendly and personable that Clarissa was. Her passion for the arts was evident as she taught. The techniques and tips she shared were very informative and helpful. I’m a professional actor currently living in New York, but originally I’m from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I got my BFA at Southern Methodist University, and before that, I studied theatre and teaching with the First Stage Theater Academy. All told, I have a little over a decade of teaching experience. I’m trained in voice and speech, piano, clowning, stage combat, and I can help you analyze text like no other, (I.e. - Shakespeare). I look forward to our first lesson together!
I started learning Flamenco guitar as a teenager, and this allowed me to experience what is necessary for a young mind to learn and grow in this beautiful art form. Its sounds and techniques captivated me and it is that very beauty what will surely keep you learning, regardless of your musical goals or ventures. Flamenco has a charm that is both exotic and sophisticated, and this is what I want to share with you. It is my desire to continue the Flamenco passion and life that allowed me to enjoy entertaining audiences as well as the perhaps more valuable moments of sharing joy with friends and family.
