About Andrea
Bassist and composer Andrea Veneziani performs extensively within the improvised music scene, across a broad spectrum of genres. His instrumental tone, sensitivity and imagination, and melodic approach to a supposedly clumsy instrument brought him to perform and record with many established musicians. Based in New York City, his work as an instrumentalist and composer can be regularly heard at the top jazz clubs in the city and around the globe.

As a current faculty member of the New York Jazz Workshop, Andrea Veneziani is a dedicated educator. He has taught master classes at the National I
nstitute of Music and the National University of Costa Rica, at the Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey and at the Olav Duun Videregående Skole in Namsos, Norway. He also served as an adjunct professor at New York University, where he graduated in 2011 with a Master of Music Degree in Performance with a Concentration in Jazz as a Fulbright scholarship recipient.

Andrea is a patient, and very good Italian language teacher. He is teaching my 6 year old and keeps the lesson very engaging and easy to follow. She learned a lot in just 30 minutes and had fun doing so. I highly recommend him for children and adults.

Andrea is a fantastic teacher. I came to the bass with some music background, and Andrea met me right where I needed him to meet me. His teaching methods are clear, concise, and all-encompassing. We focus on music theory, technique, and playing each lesson, and Andrea has greatly expanded my musical vocabulary and repertoire. I'm amazed at my progress so far, and I look forward to getting even better with Andrea's tutelage!

     As with owning establishments in the past, I have an understanding of what it takes to open a new establishment and the day to day business of running the restaurants. I am well versed in sanitation, scheduling, payroll, food cost, portion control and the other aspects of the business.         
     I have a deep love for cooking and have over the years created many dishes and also learned the many facets of food itself; how it's made, how it is grown, nutrition, the science of cooking and the many other things associated with food and service.
