For only short 3 months, I was informed he was outgrown from his old book and was capable for upgrading to next level. I am much happier to find Michelle as his flute instructor. Thanks for helping him become more confident, optimistic and diligent.

Edward is everything I could want in a music teacher for my 7 year old. He is PATIENT (thats a biggy), easy-going, he worked at my son's pace, created goals, he is knowledgeable/experienced, flexible, prepared for lessons so time is used wisely, he explored different modes of teaching/learning (reading music, playing music, watching music being played, listening to music be played), he asked for feedback from my son to gauge how he felt about doing certain things or how he would like to move forward, he is professional, invites communication, and makes learning fun. I am sure I am forgetting to mention things. I have no doubt whatsoever that if Edward can teach my young son to play the guitar, he is capable of teaching people at any age to play as well. Nothing but a great experience over all and highly recommended!"

A technical type player, David has excellent playing skills as well as a comprehensive knowledge of theory and its practical application. He is a good listener and showed a genuine interest in helping me achieve my goals. I definitely can see an improvement in my playing skills....playing more confidently and efficiently.
Highly recommended......."

What what stood out to me the most is that he has a genuine desire to see each student succeed. He and his wife, Sara are a beautiful teacher duo team!
He is the authority in any room and is easily able to create a sense of safety and purpose.
That is really important for children to learn well.
I want to also thank Maestro Phillips publicly because I felt overwhelmed with the size and weight of my harp and he taught me how to carry it properly, how to store it away correctly and how to transport it safely."
