About Liza
I have been professionally singing and taking voice lessons since the age of 9! I went through various styles in my love and performance of music, starting with the Beatles, Aretha Franklin and all of Motown, Jazz (Ella Fitzgerald), R&B, and Classical/Opera (starting when I was in high school and attending Interlochen Arts Camp)...

Having received a Bachelor's of Music in Voice (Music Theatre Performance) from NYU, I stayed in NYC after graduation performing in musical theatre and theatre.

In 2009, I decided to apply to the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts, with the intent to broaden my range of skill and opportunity as a performer, but also with the intention to teach, with the higher degree strengthening this possibility. I began to teach voice lessons to fellow students while at LAMDA. When I returned to NYC, I began to
build my own voice studio in of post-graduate students and adults looking to further develop their vocal practice or begin a vocal practice. I found that in my vocal lessons, I was using physical exercises as for the actor, to incorporate in my private teaching method. I believe in doing, not only watching and observing. This, in conjunction with movement and full-body execution, opens the student vocally and emotionally. I chose to go to LAMDA because the classical training and approach to theatre training in England is extremely physical. They work from the outside in, and I find that the language of the body is universal to students of any intellectual capacity, and I strive to bring this into my approach in any type of teaching format!

*** Lesson Details ***
I teach voice lessons to adults and young students who are beginning their vocal training practice, as well as those who are accomplished singers and performers and want to take their singing and performance to the next level! I use my skills as an accomplished vocalist and teacher to empower my students to find their own voice and learn to express a story through song. I enable my students to hone their craft and find their own style of expression through the exploration of music in a multitude of genres and cultures.

*** Studio Equipment ***
I have a Stuyvesant style piano in my home studio. I also have a vast collection of repertoire.

*** Specialties ***
Singing for Music Theatre / Broadway
Singing Pop/Rock/R&B

She was the best instructor ever! I already had an experience as a vocal in a band, but through her voice training I actually was able to extend my voice range. Also as a non-native English speaker, I found it very helpful when she guided me with more accurate English pronunciation of the lyrics.

My name is Larry, and I was born and raised in Chicago and now call the Phoenix, AZ metro area home. I have a Master's Degree in Education (Higher Ed. and Curriculum Development). I have a Tutoring and Educational Consulting business of my own, working with excellent education partners like Takelessons.

My tutoring business is geared towards middle, high school, and college students, and my specialization is geared in four areas:

1) The Humanities: History (U.S., European, and World), English, Literature (with a special passion for all things Shakespeare), and Social Studies (including American Government and Political Science).

2) Papers: Research papers (and how to do the
research for them), essays, creative writing - including citation & formatting.

3) Drama (the Theatre kind of drama, not life drama): Acting, directing, staging, analysis, including Shakespeare.

4) Test Prep: ACT, SAT, PSAT, ISEE, TACHS

***My Promise to You***

I will treat you like an individual - that means that we'll find out how YOU learn best, and we'll work that way. I don't teach memorization. I teach by asking and answering questions, as well as providing information.

***My Expectation of You***

That you will come with an open mind, come with questions, and a willingness to learn and have fun.

***Lesson Details***

*The Humanities*
The reason so many people go screaming into the night when confronted with lessons in things like history, or government, or English for that matter, are all the names and dates to memorize. I don't teach that way. We begin with things you want (or need) to know. From there, we cover how those things affected other things, It's a huge world out there, and how we got here from where we started is a wonderful and complicated trip. History doesn't happen in a vacuum, and we learn who we are by knowing where we come from.

*Papers*
Obviously I won't write your paper for you, but I will show you how and where to start your research (and how to sort it as well). I will also proof-read for grammar and/or organizational errors and show you how to structure it in general terms.

*Drama*
I have acted, I have directed. From the community to professional levels. We will talk about character creation, about staging, about working with your director as well as your fellow actors. We will mostly brainstorm, and you will be able to experiment in vision as well as technique.

Keith is fantastic! He expects the highest level of preparation and performance from me at all my lessons and thus pushes me to be a better performer every time. He tailors my lessons to exactly what I need - specific work for upcoming auditions as well as more general work to expand my repertoire. His lessons are also not not limited singing coaching - he also provides coaching in acting and movement. I feel like I have presented some of my best work to auditors as a result of working with Keith! And he does all this in the friendliest manner possible so that my lessons are always a great combination of fun, hard work, and inspiration.

About Rebecca
Greetings!

I am super excited to be building a private and small group lesson platform at our home studio and to meet your personal acting needs! I recently stepped down from 2 years of full time drama and art at Lumos Arts Academy- a private school I played a role in pioneering- to focus on building up passionate individuals who are serious about thriving in the performing world.

I also created a Theater and Film Program at Experience Arts School where students ages 5- adult could take classes (group or private) or join an acting company for regular performance gigs. I also directed multiple musicals during this time. My company competed with the AZ Thespians and took home many superior scores.

Personally, I have been acting for 25 years in the Mid and Southwest, studied theater at UWOshkosh, Film at Scottsdale CC, improv with
iO in Chicago, and Meisner with The renowned Kevin Phipps. I was part of a musical repertory company based in Utah for 8 months, traveled around the Phoenix valley performing in 8 different dinner theaters for 8 years, and have produced and directed multiple professional music videos for Soundwaves Productions in Gilbert.

I believe that each actor learns differently, and the best way is to become well-rounded in your training to discover what works best for you. I have become very well trained in identifying strengths and weaknesses in actors, and will work with you on the best technique to suit your needs and style.

Classes I have created curriculum for/taught include:
Monologues
Auditioning for theater and film
Script Analysis
Beginning- Advanced Improv
Beginning- Advanced Scene Acting
Uta Hagen's Repertoire
Acting for Film
Voice and Diction
Music Video Creation
Musical Theater Acting/Dance

I enjoy my class every time I go. Rebecca is a fun teacher, even though she keeps me focused. We are always thinking outside the box on how to make class better for me personally. I like that she is flexible and cares about how I learn. One of the things I appreciate most is that she points out what I do well and what I should improve in, whereas some of my teachers in the past only focus on one or the other.

Rebecca is very accommodating to my needs as I develop my journey into voice over acting. We have spent much time understanding how character dictates the type of voice I use, and I have grown in the range of voices I can do, as well as my proper pacing. Her husband Jim also has an amazing recording studio where we have gotten to experiment with cartoon voice overs to build my reel.

AAs a Berklee College of Music graduate I've been teaching private piano and theory lessons since 2006 for all levels. I studied Piano and Film Scoring at Berklee from 2009 to 2013. I'm a super passionate teacher. I have studied with Diana Krall and Keith Jarret's teacher Ray Santisi at Berklee. I released my own album with with John Patitucci and Claudio Ragazzi. I have composed many TV shows appearing in Discovery Channel, NBC, FOX and many others. I can teach you how to play in any genre from classical, to jazz to pop/rock. I emphasise in teaching piano combined with theory.
I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

ABOUT MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

Best age to start taking lessons:
I think the best age to get formal piano lessons is around age 6. I really deeply believe in "joy" and treating instrument like a "favorite toy to
play around with". Joy and Curiosity is crucial for musical development at a young age.

Playing music is like speaking a language. At a young age, we learn language by ear and then learn how to write/spell the words or sentences. This way children can just concentrate on the joy of music. Learning to read is the easy part. The hard part is to keep the joy and curiosity in children. The will to practice will only come from joy and passion.

Piano Touch:

Touch will develop organically after a certain skill level in technique and repertoire. It's in our DNA and comes with our personality naturally. Also I believe it's the most important thing in any instrument, defining who we are as a musician. Usually between 2-3 years in to the playing it will develop naturally.

Playing fast:

Hand position is very important. Positioning your hand on piano as if holding a lemon would reduce the force on your wrist. Practicing with a very slow metronome will stretch your muscles and make you a faster player. Only way to play fast is to play light.

-----------------------

"Oguz's piano skills, attitude and direction as a producer, is found very rare and held by only few within musical communities around the globe."
Jetro Da Silva (Pianist - Whitney Houston)

“Oguz has written many cues for Reality Tune, my custom production music company. His cues always get used and re-used. That speaks for itself. When I think of his work, what comes to mind is outstanding creative craftmanship and flawless production.”
Seth Stachowski (Music Director - Cirque De Sole)

"Oguz's writing is crisp and clear, creative and fresh, interesting and innovative. I'm always looking forward to hearing the next project from his studio"
Matthew Nicholl (Chair- Contemporary Writing and Production- Berklee College of Music)

About Bryanna
I am from Miami, FL and I have had a passion for acting since I participated in my first show at 10 years old in a local theatre camp. Ever since then, I studied musical theatre in middle school and a conservatory based high school, New World School of the Arts. I took rigorous classes in acting, ballet, jazz, improv, movement, scene study etc. while starring in multiple musicals and plays such as In the Heights, Anything Goes, Sweet Charity, Our Town Hamletmachine, and more.

I had fallen in love with acting so much so that I returned to that local theatre -where my passion first sparked,- to be a counselor this summer in hopes of encouraging the younger generation to dive in and explore the beautiful adventure of becoming an artist -of becoming an ACTOR!

Now that summer is coming to an end and Fall is approaching, I am humbled to
share that I will be attending Carnegie Mellon University for a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting.
