I was surprised at how easy it was to connect with Aaron. His diving right in was fun as we got into playing music from the first moment.

Aaron knows how to work with kids. After 30 minutes my 6 yo came out confident and ready to play!! He doesn’t realize that he still is terrible because he at least knows one chord!! Lol!

Acquiring good habits and building confidence are invaluable when it comes to studying an instrument and when playing with others. Each student brings their own unique personality to the lesson process and therefore requires a different approach to learning. I encourage students to rely on their individual strengths regardless of any specific method or philosophy of teaching. It is extremely rewarding to see the joy as students not only reach milestones, but ultimately become their own best teachers!

About Cornelia

I am a graduate of the Juilliard School and a frequent guest artist and faculty member at the nations’ leading festivals and summer programs. Having taught for over 20 years, I have an extensive background working with a wide range of students in private and group settings. In addition, I work clos

Many years ago I was coached in a chamber music setting by Cornelia (in one hour the piece had been wholly transformed), and when my daughter, then 6, came to me and said she wanted to play the violin, I knew exactly whom to call. I was a little worried then that Cornelia might not take beginners, but to my joy, her attitude is (excuse me for putting words in your mouth, Cornelia) "Of course I take beginners! How else to keep them from developing bad habits in the first place?" Fast forward to now: that 6 year-old became the concertmistress of the NEC Youth Symphony in Boston, has traveled around the country and around Asia playing the violin with the highly competitive National Youth Orchestra, and continues to play with excellent players to this day--and all because she was set on the right path by Cornelia, who is focused and kind. She's also demanding of excellence, and wildly enthusiastic about your progress. If you want to pay for lessons but don't really care about what kind of job you do, go somewhere else. Cornelia is the real deal. Violin isn't easy: if you want to start right, start here. If you want to get better, you've come to the right place. If you want really to think about the music you're playing, she's your guy. Plus she's got a great laugh.
Nancy
A consummate professional and gifted teacher. Her love of the instrument is infectious. Her sense of humor puts you at ease.
Mikko
Cornelia is fantastic! We have been going to her for years. We have also heard from friends that she is the best violin teacher in the area. It would be hard not to agree. If you want to learn to play violin, she is the teacher for you. If you do not want to work hard and be accurate with your playing, then probably better to move on.

I help beginning actors get to the next level of their journey by demystifying the path and creating a personalized game plan to get there.

Have you found yourself going after this whole acting thing? Maybe you’re in classes or you’ve done a few productions and you’re looking to start thinking of this as more of a profession?

I’ve been where you are, so have many of my friends and colleagues. It’s a part of the process, to decide that this “acting thing” is not just a hobby but a calling and you know you can do more of it. So, then comes the big question.. how?

Well, acting is a business. And in a business where there is so much up in the air, you‘ve got to get your controllables in order.

Whether we are getting you agency/manager ready, simply reviewing your current materials, or starting from ground zero to help you create a strategic business plan through the industry our time together is exactly that - our time.

So if you’re ready to get to the next level of ...

About Andrew

I started taking lessons when I was 9, focusing solely on blues and classic rock. As I grew up, I branched out into heavy metal, jazz, and classical. At the end of our lesson, my teacher would always write something with me and let me solo over it. I think this was super important for keeping it fu
