I love teaching and I have been doing it for about 6 years now. I love working with beginners, and I find myself especially good with children that are just getting to know music. Although I am open to work with any age-group.
As your teacher, we will work together to make you the most integral musician you can be. Every hand is different, so we will make sure we adjust to what works best for you and your skills.
I will share tips on how to practice and will follow up with your schedule and the amount of time you are putting towards your cello-life.
We will not only learn about cello in lessons, but also music theory (as I believe it is necessary for one to be able to not only make music, but also "talk" music.).
Since I am still a student, I am always looking for ways to make practicing more productive but also fulfilling so that is what we will do together as well.
I look forward to taking you from whatever level you may be at right now, to the most ideal performance/practice ...

About Adalus

I have loved teaching ever since I started doing so about 6 years ago. I have the most experience with children (begginners-intermediate), although I am comfortable with other age groups as well. My main goal as a cello teacher is not only for you to learn how to play the cello but to give you a b

Students will learn how to read as well as play: notes, chords, scales, songs, common chord progressions, guitar tab, chord charts and a whole bunch more! Ear training, chord theory and improvisation will also be incorporated into the lessons.

I generally walk students through a guitar method book.
( a few examples listed below)

Hal Leonard Guitar Method by Will Schmid Level 1

The Christopher Parkening Guitar Method - Volume 1: Guitar Technique

Mel Bay's Modern Guitar Method Grade 1

Some primary goals I have for students are to keep them motivated, interested, inspired and challenged.
I love music, and it should be fun, exciting, and entertaining!

You will learn a lot with me and we'll have a good time doing it!

James is an amazing teacher! My son has taken piano lessons from him for several years. James not only taught lessons and theory, he helped my son prepare “Prelude in C Major” by Bach for a school talent show. They also worked on Erik Satie’s “Gymnopedie”. One year, James helped him prepare a song to sing at a talent show and even came to the show and accompanied him on piano. My son has written songs that James has helped him refine. When my son showed up with a ukulele, James was able to teach him how to play it as well. We love James!

This offering is for students who are interested in taking both voice and piano lessons. I teach both classical and various styles of popular music. My voice teaching is very much influenced by my certification in Somatic Voicework™ The Lovetri Method. It is a body-based method of vocal training which is based upon voice science and medicine, traditional classical training, and various bodywork approaches. If you're struggling in a particular area of your voice, I can help you work through those issues.

About Cindy

Regardless of where your musical interests lie, I can help you improve your skills! Growing up, I fell in love with playing and singing all styles of music! I've delved into classical, jazz, R&B, soul, gospel, reggae, soca, pop and musical theater, and I can teach you how to apply proper technique

I am excited about my teacher and my lesson. Cindy was not only patient but she explained things to me so simply. I found it quicker and easier to understand because of the way she explained things to me than when I have had explanations by my last two teachers. She is cheerful, friendly and has a beautiful spirit.
I am also very happy her location is convenient and not far from my home. THANK YOU!!

Hello and Welcome! Learning violin is very fun and rewarding, I would be happy to help you on this journey! For beginning students, we start by learning the fundamentals of violin including: violin set up, left hand and right hand techniques, best posture, and becoming comfortable with playing the strings. We then advance to a violin book of choice, to learn music reading, playing techniques, and enjoyable songs.
For intermediate to advanced students, I will adjust the lessons according to the student's needs. We will discuss what you've already learned, what you would like to learn, and choose music of your liking. We will focus on best left hand practices, bowing techniques, intonation, vibrato, and music reading.
I look forward to meeting you soon and helping you achieve your goals!

Piano is the optimal instrument to learn as a first instrument. Everything is laid out in front of you, with only time and practice between you and greatness. Let me help you get there!

About Alex

I was passionate about music when I was younger, but I never had the tools to get where I wanted. Music was always a mystery to me and I got stuck learning from tabs and not stepping out of my circle of knowledge. It wasn't until I pursued music seriously that my love for the art really took off. "I am a former singer and keyboard player who is trying to learn a new instrument, the guitar, and I just had my first lesson with Dennis last night. He is extremely knowledgeable and personable, and he made many great suggestions to counteract problems I was having. I love the exercises he gave me, which were designed to build on my own musicality (but which could build on anyone's innate and acquired knowledge of music), and am very much looking forward to the next lesson."

"Nancy gave my daughter her first piano lesson (when she was 6 years old). My daughter was a bit nervous going in, and Nancy had her smiling and relaxed within minutes. She is a wonderful teacher but more than that is fun and great with kids. Throughout the lesson she has her doing all sorts of different activities - clapping out rhythm, searching for notes on the keyboard, etc. - and I think that makes a really big difference with kids. I really can't believe how much my daughter has learned so far!"

"Great Lessons!

During a lesson, Cory can take any question of mine and explain the core concepts and ideas regarding music theory I might have had in a way that gets me excited about guitar. He can easily tailor a lesson to a particular topic of interest while still incorporating planned topics into our time. My tastes in music run wide and luckily so does Cory's so we can work on harmony in a jazz context and connect that to metal or even take from classical. He has a lot of guitars, including a 7 string and his home studio is equipped with amps so two guitars can be plugged in. I'd highly recommend Cory to anyone."
