Madeline is very skilled as are many voice/music teachers, but what makes her stand out is her knowledge of pedagogy. She has the skills to teach as well as the performing arts background, adding credibility to the experience. In our family’s case, she is working with our 11 year old granddaughter and has been able to impart an experience that has achieved the delicate balance of fun AND discipline.
Amanda
Great instructor! With school distance learning, Madeline quickly moved my daughter's first semester of lessons from in school to online. We were worried about being a beginner with online lessons, but it is going amazing.

Steven really helped my get my work to "industry-level". My callback ratio is thru the roof, and I got signed with an agency after only a few months of working with him.
David
While he isn't available very much, I always try to coach with Stephen for challenging projects. He always has good ideas for how to make my scenes more interesting or funny.
Allison
Stephen is the best! He was able to turn sides I had for a short four line audition for an episodic into a taped audition that booked me the job. I try to book him for every important audition I have.

Everyone is uniquely different with special goals, ways of learning, and ideas in mind. I find pride in quickly learning what each of my students are looking for and leading the way to their own personal victories, no matter how big or small! I teach a number of styles including, but not limited to, Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Contemporary/Lyrical, Hip Hop/Street Jazz/Jazz Funk, Turns, Leaps & Jumps and more. Although I possess over 10 years of teaching experience, I find myself learning something new with nearly every student I encounter. Every student is a new opportunity for me to inspire AND be inspired.

The general structure of my classes are similar. Thorough warm up, which would include exercises, drills and foundational practices from the Ballet, Modern and Jazz genres, stretching, strengthening and conditioning sequences and finally execution of concepts directly related to the style I might be teaching sum them up well. In the end, my goal is for my students to leave feeling ...

I love your choreo so much! You bring out the best in everyone especially ME πŸ˜‰. Your turns, leaps and jumps are sooo beautiful. I always look forward to you coming to do new pieces or master classes at my studio. Hope to see you soon

Mr. Brandyn is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!! He is an amazing dancer and pushes all of his students to be the best we can be. He's hard on us yet he understands each of our differences and encourages us to embrace them. When I take class with him, I mentally prepare myself to push my limits and seek results because I know that if I dont, I would be doing myself a disservice and futhermore, HE WILL lol. Mr. B has inspired me to become a professional dancer because I've never seen someone love anything as much as he loves dance. I want to experience a love that great. His passion for the art form oozes from him and I feel lucky to have him as a teacher!!!!

Love you Mr. B πŸ’žπŸ’–πŸ’—

I have worked with students who have vocal disorders (vocal cord paralysis, spasmodic dysphonia, vocal dysphasia and more), with immigrant students who want to speak news-anchor English and with actors, public speakers, and life coaches to speak more dynamically.

About Karen

Have you ever been frustrated by your voice? Do you cringe when you hear your voice--like when you hear a recording of yourself? That used to be me years ago. Now, I'm an experienced professional jazz vocalist, actor and voice expert! My passion for singing, and struggle with my own voice, h

Within a few months, Karen has helped me become a much better singer than I ever thought I could be. She always seems to have a technique or exercise at hand to help me where I need it. Her instruction has also been very useful to improve and protect my speaking voice, given that I speak for a living. It has been worth every penny.

I have trained with dancers like Paulo Alcedo, Desi Babalu, and many others. I know that dancing can be a very scary vulnerable art, so I do everything I can to create a space that is encouraging and safe, one where your unique personality is embraced and encouraged.

Can You Really Learn Contemporary Dance Online?

Contemporary dance is the most expressive and subjective dance form, making it more accessible to outsiders and helpful as a supplement to other dance training. Contemporary choreography techniques help dancers harness the energy and emotion of their own bodies, resulting in a more fluid and organic form of movement that can appear effortless and completely improvised to the casual observer. You have a lot of options when it comes to learning, practicing, and performing modern dance. And with t …
