My name is Zipporah Robinson. I am a multi-lingual musician.
I teach voice, violin and piano. I have been a musician for 30+ years and a music educator for 10+ years. Let me help you reach your music education goals!
I speak Spanish, Portuguese and am learning Italian. I would love to show you how you can speak Spanish. Between 2012 and 2019, I was the foreign language representative for the businesses I worked for. Let me help you get to your language goals.
I’ve had the chance to learn from some of the greatest, and I am STILL learning from ‘em!
I think anyone can and should sing. Why? Simple. Singing is FUN . Singing is FREEING. You’ve got a voice- why not use it, and as often as possible? Your voice is unique and capable of soooo many cool things- just let me show you! Anxious? Shy? You're in very good hands. I have anxiety myself, and know just how to put you at ease.
I’m different than most voice teachers. I don’t make you practice. If you’re happy, I’m happy! If that means you want a lesson of all vocal exercises, cool! If you want to work on Puccini one lesson and Judas Priest the next.....niice! Why not? The more genres you try the more you’ll love music- and yes, you CAN sing as many styles as you want no matter what you’ve been told. I will never have you sing anything
you are not 100% stoked to sing- promise!
Maybe you don’t like your speaking voice and want that to be stronger for either professional or personal reasons. I do that, too. I can help you with confidence in basic conversations and accent reduction. Maybe you want singing lessons just ‘cause, and don’t ever want to sing in public because that terrifies you. I totally get it. And I say do it!
Acting? Music theory? These are also things I love to teach, especially newbies. I love helping beginner performers get confident in selecting material that shows THEM off- comic and dramatic.
Online voice lessons are my jam. These are especially convenient for those that are pressed for time or maybe a little shy or anxious.
I am the teacher for those that don’t want someone too …well….teacher-y. I want you to laugh as you learn, and love love love the results you’ll get . I understand what what it's REALLY about- expression and fun, not judgement . Vocal exploration that's 100% customized . Join me!

My passion is to teach. Before moving to the U.S. in 2005, I was an elementary school teacher and coordinator in Bahia, Brazil. Creative and engaging; I hold a Bachelors in pedagogy and post-graduate studies in Teaching Methodologies from the University of Education in Bahia, Brazil. I also hold an Associate of Arts degree from Oakton College in Des Plaines, Illinois.
I like to utilizes my passion for teaching Portuguese to create a positive experience for the students.
Spanish is my native language and I've always been fascinated by its grammar, its phonetics and beauty in general. But learning other languages has also being one of my passions. I am fortunate to be proficient in two languages (Spanish and English), but knowing a few others has given me perspective that became a tool for another of my passions: Teaching!!!
I strongly believe everyone is capable of learning Spanish. That's why I guarantee my students I can teach them not only what they want but also what they need. Every student is different and that's why I personalize each of my classes. I have 15+ years of experience teaching adults, teens, children, big groups, families, etc., not only in the US but also in Mexico and other countries (online). My teaching method has
been recognized and awarded by organizations like the Erie Neighborhood House in Chicago, and the DuPage County Health Department. I enjoy teaching because there is no better satisfaction that helping others to accomplish something they considered almost impossible; I will be happy to help you get there!

Fernando was fantastic with my 14 year old son. He asked what type of music he wanted to play to keep him engaged. He had a great 45 minute lesson with him. Fernando is passionate about violin and it shows. Looking forward to continuing with Fernando! Highly recommend him!

Very professional and patient with student. Can't wait to keep working with him.
My name is Jimmy. I have been teaching Spanish for about seven years now. I have taught all ages from kindergarten to adults.
As a current teacher, my primary goal is to make sure the students have engaging and fun experiences while learning Spanish. I do not lecture solely on the nuts and bolts of the language but rather allow the student to perform the language in order to learn it.
I do want to make clear that I do teach young children (ages 2-12) but I prefer to teach them in person and at least twice a week. I believe the experience to be more valuable that way.
Additionally, I ask that parents or potential adult students and with me talk for a while before signing up for lessons. I may not be able the person to give you what you need. I want to be sure your needs are met through Take Lessons and I may not be the person th
at can do that. So, please message me often.
One last note: If we are meeting in person, I am only willing to meet in public locations and not anyone's home.
I am always excited to teach someone this language I love so much.
Indulge yourself by learning languages. It opens your prospect to a new different world with a different culture, you feel like you gain a new person and a new experience while networking with new people around you. I personally admire languages and would like to share this passion with you. I invite you to start expanding your horizon by choosing a new language. I came recently to U.S. and I was tutoring languages "Arabic, French and English" back in my country. I hope to build a good reputation here too with my students. I'm so patient toward kids, and I like to innovate methods to engage early learners (songs, stories, games...). My only goal is to reach your needs and desire to learn then proceed from there in a fun immersion method.
Hi! I am a fun, friendly but serious educator in Arabic, ESL, and philosophy. I am a trilingual professional whose calling in life is to attend to the academic and linguistic needs of learners. I am the Asst. Director to a language program in a private university in the Chicago area. I have an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and a B.A. in Philosophy of language. Welcome to my page! Hope to chat soon.
Are you a parent interested in teaching Spanish to your kids? You've made a big -- but fantastic -- decision!
Studies have shown the benefits of being bilingual in today's society; not only will you be making an impact on your child's communication skills and cognitive abilities, raising your child bilingual will help set him or her up for success later on in life.
Teaching Spanish to kids is easy if you speak the language yourself, but where do you start if you don't already speak it …
