As a psychology student at a top University here in San Diego, you wouldn't expect a science-minded, logical, and rational person like me to have an interest in astrology, would you? Well, not only do I have an interest, I have an obsession! Yes, I love empirical evidence and clinically based research studies that operationally verify real-world results, but I also love this ancient art and... dare I say... science! BUT, not the "pop astrology horoscopes" that you get in your weekly email, I'm talking something much more in depth, intricate, and deeply complicated, yet fun and fascinating. In fact, the majority of cultures from around the world have observed and interpreted astrological phenomenon for thousands of years. What is astonishing to me is that they have practically the same symbolic representations, meanings, and interpretations of these celestial bodies. How is it that all of these cultures agree, only with slight variations, in the meaning of how the cosmos energetically impacts humanity? I am well-versed and knowledgeable about the 12 Universal archetypes (a.k.a. the Zodiac signs) and their corresponding planets, houses, and personality characteristics. Astrology is a complex science that can be a great aid to the study of psychology. You don't have to believe in pre-destined imprinted personality patterns to understand that astrology contains within it a vast array of personality archetypes that people embody. For instance, someone who is very strict, disciplined, authoritative, and serious, but also ambitious, achievement oriented, and driven embodies the Saturn archetype. Someone who is spiritually inclined, into meditation, is very compassionate, emphatic, and imaginative, but also can be drug-addicted or indulge in other escapist tendencies has a Neptune archetype. Or perhaps you are a book-worm who has a quick wit, a sharp intellect, an excellent memory, and wonderful verbal and written communication skills. Then you would veer towards the Mercury archetype. And there are more archetypes to explore!!! Astrology has many uses and functions and can be a wonderful tool for understanding yourself and others on a universal level that can help foster greater tolerance and compassion. I recognize the interconnectedness of all things and can intuitively verify the impact of different energetic influences on human-kind. Astrology serves as a tool for understanding those archetypes and helping you realize your greatest potential in life, your purpose, your karmic influences, your strengths and developing ares, and your innate traits in which you can use to your advantage to make the most out of your life. I can train you in becoming an astrologer, and you can pass over years and years of study and in depth research! And, I can also give you an astrology session with your natal chart for interpreting your archetypal energy and assisting you with any area of your life---from relationships, to career, to family life, to soul purpose, to whatever you seek.
