This course is designed for students who want to study acting through the lens of the text. In my course for beginners and early level actors, we analyze the script for clues left by the writer and apply them to our performances. What is the difference between a beat and a pause? A pause and silence? How do we treat ellipses, commas, and periods? We also look at how the director might interpret and influence the performance as well as differences in performing for theatre versus film.

This class is geared toward the individual, and advanced students may elect to use our time to prepare a monologue for auditions or practice a scene for class in addition to the above lessons.

My lessons stem from the successful work done at my theatre company, which focuses on partnering with student actors to provide them with professional experience as well as exposing them to directing and acting techniques that may be different from what they previously encountered.

About Kara

I'm not going to lie to you. It's not easy being an actor. It's vulnerable. It's unstable sometimes. It forces you to confront your weaknesses. But, because I will NEVER lie to you, you'll know exactly where you stand, what you need to work on, how much you're improving. I'm not saying I'm tough or

I have been impacted by Minister Tomecia in such a little time. New to the dance ministry as a whole she introduced flags to me and I have since been invited to minister at several different events and Engagements paid and unpaid and for that I am truly grateful. Not to mention time I call with questions and she gives me unbiased answers to help me grow along the way. Definitely a jewel in my eyes. I call her my dance mom honestlyčśü

Ms. Danielle is a wonderful / excellent instructor. I booked 10 sessions with Ms. Danielle for vocal training and it was worth every dollar. I am singing this week at a big event, and because of Ms. Danielle vocal training, I am prepared to sing three back to back songs with the strongest voice ever!!!! Ms. Danielle doesn't know it yet, but I do plan to make her my life vocal coach.

The rating says it all. Best. Instructor. Ever. Danielle is amazing. She's so patient and kind and loving. Half the reason I take lessons from her is because she makes me feel so good about myself. She's so much more than a singing teacher. She's a creative guide. She will help you move beyond self doubt and explore your creativity. And of course, my rhythm and pitch are improving rapidly. Can't recommend her enough!

I enjoy my first lesson with Ms. Danielle. She is a great singing coach. I am looking forward to learning great singing skills from this instructor.

"I am very please with the results. As I read and we spoke Randy detected habits or
mispronunciations in my speech. Just having him draw my attention to them I began hearing them in everyday conversation. He is an excellent and fun coach and I highly recommend him for anyone wanting to improve and polish their speaking whether business or giving presentations. I plan to use him for some on camera and public speaking pointers. Thanks Randy!"

"I started taking private lessons after a long hiatus from ballet. Briana is an excellent teacher, patient, and knowledgeable. I've progressed faster than I would have if I had only taken group classes. Briana's teaching style is fun and inspiring. She takes the time to discover where you are in your dance training and tailors the lessons to your goals while maintaining authority as a professional. I recommend Briana for any adult dancers who want to improve their technique and want focused, individual training."
