Child acting is no different from Adult acting. Age is only a number. The elements are exactly the same. Chemistry, objective, levels, emotions. Acting is for all ages equally. Kids are at most times even more open to learn than adults. Not as many bad habits. Again as with any performance medium one must be fearless. I am impressed every single time I teach children. They give all of themselves without even knowing it. And the ones who don't at first, end up finding their way with my methods and energy. There is always common ground.

About Keith

I have been a professional performance coach and actor in Hollywood for the past 11 years. I coach and inspire the next generation of performers for stage and screen. My company is a performance arts company dedicated to educating and inspiring performers of all ages, including adults. Our lessons

Keith is a great acting coach. My daughter feels that she has been able to learn and grow in just a couple of months. She says that she is able to articulate exactly what she needs to do and how she should approach her assignments clearly, and that his assignments are well conceived and valuable. We highly recommend Keith!

We love Amanda and Keith. They are energetic, enthusiastic, patient, and knowledgeable. We started lessons because of my daughter's interest in singing, and even at only 10, we've seen huge improvements in her presentation and performance since working with Amanda. It's been a blessing to watch her talents being developed in a caring environment.

Well you can start by calling me Zo! I've trained for about 10 years in Theatre. My first home of training was at the Stella Adler Studio Of Acting in NYC. At Stella Adler, I've learned the foundation and I am a 2019 graduate of the Juilliard school where I received my BFA wings. I think developing a personal relationship with you or breaking the ice before anything speaks volumes and makes everyone comfortable. We have to be comfortable in order to do the uncomfortable. Safety and confidence is what drives bold choices. Every student has different needs. My goal is to give you different ways of approaching the craft. How is today different from all other days? What do we learn from this scene? The most important thing we can change is how we rehearse. So lets dive into the script, have fun and bring your justified creativity out within the world of the play.

About Lorenzo

Hello! My name is Lorenzo aka Zo! I have been in the craft for about 10 years. I am a Stella Adler, Midsummer in Oxford and Juilliard Grad. Since graduation in 2019, I have made my Off broadway and Broadway Debut. I strive to be optimistic, fun and random! I want to help to bring out the creative

How an actor approaches acting on a stage versus film is completely different. Some of the reasons are obvious, for example, with theater you have immediate feedback due to having a live audience. In film you can have multiple takes to get a scene right; however on stage, you have one opportunity to get it right.

In film you want your voice and facial expressions to be as natural as possible. On stage everything has to be bigger in order to convey the right emotion to your audience.

I love performing on stage. I find it more rewarding than film. I have been working in semi~professional theater for over thirty years and am looking forward to sharing what I have learned through the years with other enthusiasts.

About Tina

A recent transplant from Los Angeles, California; I have been singing professionally for more than forty years as well as having leading roles in local theatre productions. I have also been assistant director, musical director, choreographer, costumer and writer for many productions from West Side

I am an actor currently based in Los Angeles and I also work in New York. I am a recent graduate from the Yale School of Drama with an MFA in Acting. Before Yale, I attended Southern Methodist University where I received my BFA in acting with a minor in Arts Entrepreneurship. I have experience in creating curriculums for introduction to acting, scene study, self-tape and advanced acting technique. I also coach students on monologues, audition technique, and scene work for the stage. I work with students of all ages and experience levels. In the classroom I use a combination of different teaching methodologies from Stanislavsky to Uta Hagen, in addition to my own acting principles. I like to pride myself on exploring how acting pedagogy can change in the future. The culture around BIPOC representation in film, television and theatre should also be reflected in how acting is taught in the classroom. I think both white and BIPOC students can benefit from an exploration of the work that ...

Jakeem teaches with satisfying precision, deep insight, patience, and a great sense of humor. Attending his self-tape workshop really helped change the way I approach my process and gave me so much useful information / perspective on what it means to tell a story. Definitely book a lesson with him!! Not all artists can teach their art - that's just facts - but Jakeem can and does it supremely well.

I see your instruction all over her phenomenal job and it is no wonder the casting director that judged her 2 person scene immediately impromptu auditioned her for a lead role in a movie! Acting Tips: Do I Really Need an Acting Coach?

How important is it for aspiring actors to hire an acting coach? Find out in this guest post by New York, NY acting teacher Stephanie B... So let's assume you are an actor in NYC or LA - running around auditioning like mad, but not really getting too many call-backs. And not really getting cast, either! You think, maybe I should try working with an acting coach like some others do. But what can an acting coach do for me? Why give someone money to do---what? What does an acting coach do to …
