I met Robby in college and he was a really good guitar player. I wanted to learn from him as much as I could. He actually took the time to set me up with lessons and gave me very specific stuff to practice. He would check in with me every couple weeks and see if I had any questions and how I was doing. I moved and had to stop lessons for a year or two. A few years later I called him and asked to get together for a couple lessons. He was blown away at how much I improved and was so genuinely happy for me. We still talk every week and if I ever have a guitar question I call him. He's my friend, and he's gonna be a famous guitar player some day.

I started learning from Rob 5 years ago. I didn't think he'd want to spend time teaching me because I didn't know anything about guitar and he was so good. I was so wrong! Since our first lesson, he treated me like a friend, and 5 years later and we are great friends. I started off being able to play a couple notes, and now I can pay solos and songs and learn just about anything I want! Thanks Rob! Take Lessons from this guy! He's the Best!

My brother told me he found this great guitar teacher, and I was skeptical because he has been playing guitar for a long time and has never really sounded good. Two weeks after he mentioned him, all of the sudden he didn't suck any more. He was actually kinda good. So I tried a lesson with him and Wow! Within my first lesson I was already able to play a song! I can't afford lessons since I'm in school right now, but my brother still takes lessons with him. Even though I no longer take lessons with him I still call Rob and ask him questions about guitar all of the time, and he always makes time for me. I don't know where my brother or I would be without him. Great Teacher. Great Friend.

I often tutor students with English as their second language, primarily Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin. I do not speak these languages fluently, but I am able erase confusion in our sessions by strategizing a series of questions in order to understand your concerns, and to prompt you to ultimately communicate your ideas as best to your ability on paper. Your paper should sound like you, and not your writing tutor.

About Alexandria

I am a writer, a thinker, and an artist that has experimented in many areas of fine art and design. However, I quickly learned that the power of writing is crucial in order to communicate creative ideas. I received my Bachelor of Art in Visual Communications at the Fashion Institute of Design and M

Hello, my name is Jared Perez-DeBusk and I am Deaf. I am proud to share that American Sign Language is my very first language, not English. I have a Deaf sister and my family knows sign language. I always enjoy teaching people sign language. I discovered my passion to teaching, which led me to study public speaking and how to interact with the audience and eventually getting a bachelor’s degree in Communication in Performance Studies from University of South Florida. Few years later, I got accepted to Master’s in Sign Language Education program at Gallaudet University and graduated in 2018. I am looking forward to share my rich experience in sign language and Deaf culture with you.

I have a Master's Degree of Education, K-12 certification, and 8 years of experience teaching Spanish in schools and tutoring adults and children. The key to learning to communicate in a new language is to hear and use the language in context. I teach vocabulary using stories that create with my students, and we recycle that vocabulary in conversations, role plays and new stories we create together. By acquiring language naturally in this way, students are best able to learn and retain vocabulary and grammatical structures.
I tailor my lessons to my students' goals and interests. However, I have a general system and self-created curriculum that I successfully apply to most students. When I work with beginners, we focus on the 16 highest frequency verbs and most useful prepositions and expressions in the language, so that my students are able to express themselves on a variety of topics in just a few lessons. I incorporate authentic resources (resources from the Spanish-speaking ...

I am having so much fun learning Spanish with Ellen! She is very encouraging and patient. I didn't know any Spanish before, just some French. I am surprised by how much we can actually talk about. I like that she gives me scripts of our conversations to read for homework along with recordings of herself reading them. I listen to these often between lessons and find that it is really helpful.

Typically I have a short conversation, then have you read while I listen. I give you feedback on improper pronunciation, then tell you the meanings of any surfs you don’t know. Then, I go over vocabulary words, explaining what they mean, how to use them in talking, and small differences between words. Finally, I can give you grammar quizzes and lessons. If you have a job interview or a writing assignment, I can help you with managers’ questions, CVs and resumes, or provide editing and suggestions if you write in English for your job or university classes.

"I like that Kristina distinctly differentiate curriculums and its content from student to student considering their goals, requirements, interests individually. It's not stereotyped teaching everyone by the same books and topics. She literally selects individual training plan, vocabulary, collocations etc that are really useful and might be used right now immediately in a social life. I supremely respect Kristina’s experience and teaching sense. I recommend her!
