While I now primarily sing classical repertoire, my roots are in Musical Theater. My passion for singing grew from a love of Broadway and I have many years of experience performing in and assisting with musicals. My goal is for all of my singers to have a foundation of healthy vocal technique, which I build from my knowledge of classical voice. This allows for a deeper understanding of how the voice functions and leads to an overall stronger sound.

My daughter, now age 7, has been taking piano lessons with Jenny for 9 months now. She is progressing quickly. Jenny is patient with her, even when my daughter is not interested and squirming around in her seat. She has given her a broad amount of knowledge, both theory and practical, and my daughter flourishes (when she wants to)! Jenny has tried to make it more fun for my daughter to keep her interest by creating easy versions of songs that my daughter will enjoy playing and singing. This has made a world of difference to my daughter. Even though my daughter dislikes practicing, I can see that she is progressing and enjoys playing when she learns how to properly play a song."
You walk into your sheet music store and start browsing. You look at the method books, technique books, repertoire… and then your eyes see something else. You pick it up and see it is called a "fake book." An odd name for a real book. You open it up and see that it contains music. So what exactly is it? A piano fake book allows you to read and play music on your piano. But unlike your typical books, which contain the score as written by the composer or arranger, a fake book is more of a …

They hear that rasp and affiliate it with passion, grit, pain, and so on! However, there is a right way and wrong way to approach raspy singing. Whe …
