Joseph Lynn is an excellent guitarist, and exceptional guitar tutor. He takes time to understand the student, and tailor the learning process that suits the student. My daughter had a wonderful experience learning from him. I highly recommend Joseph Lynn.

Joseph was able to instruct me on jazz music which was new to me. He was very patient in getting me to play chords that I never did before and to do progressions up and down the neck of the guitar. He made it seem easy after a while, even though it was tough to grasp at first. I would recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to play the guitar!

Joe is an excellent teacher

I have been studying for more than a year. Joe is extremely versatile and is able to teach any style of music. He emphasizes spending short periods of time each practice session doing exercises that strengthen your fingers by playing chords up and down the fretboard, but does'nt go overboard with repetitive drills. He has genuine love of music and is great iat intertwining theory with actual songs. I have enjoyed my lessons and highly recommend him for students begining to play as well as advanced students.

Nicholas U.

Allentown, PA

About Nicholas

I am a second generation music teacher for piano and violin. I have been teaching for over 15 years as well as playing both instruments for about 30 years. I have an Associates in Music. Making lessons both fun and educational is what make my students successful in their instruments. My lessons are custom made to how the student learns, not cookie-cut. We also do bi-annual recitals in October and April to showcase the students' accomplishments.

*** Lesson Details ***
My lessons are both fun and educational at the same time. I compromise with my students by having us each pick a piece
to play on top of the usual learning pieces. My students play anything from Katy Perry to 80s music and rock ballads and in between. I use John Thompson and Fingerpower as well as a notespeller for piano and String Essentials for violin. Many of my students can play with both hands after six months. We do recitals each year to showcase the past year's achievements in their pieces.

*** Travel Equipment ***
For either instrument I pick up all books and supplies ahead of the lesson. I have my own violin and music stand that I use to assist in teaching.

*** Specialties ***
John Thompson, Suzuki, popular music, Gospel, New Age, and anything in between

Pianist Spotlight: Billy Joel, The Modern-Day Piano Man
Sing us a song, you’re the piano man. Sing us a song tonight Well, we’re all in the mood for a melody And you’ve got us feelin’ alright If you’ve ever visited a piano bar, you may understand what Billy Joel is singing about in his legendary song, “Piano Man”. For a piano man, sheet music is not always part of the equation. Lounge patrons often call out the names of songs they would like to hear, and the pianist is expected to quickly comply and keep the patrons happy and in a celebratory
3 Reasons Why Piano Players Should Also Learn the Organ
There are many reasons why a music student may find themselves learning to play piano on a keyboard rather than on a baby grand: cost, space, or simply lack of access, for example. Versatility on a range of keyboard instruments is also an extremely useful string for any pianist to have to their bow, and can lead to greater practice and public performance opportunities, and even excellent opportunities to earn a little money on the side. The organ, although not the most prevalent or popular musi
Best Violin Songs to Practice by Genre: Rock, Pop, and Country
Love it or hate it, practice is a significant part of every musician’s life. This is especially true for those learning the violin, as there are many complex techniques and skills one must learn. As every musician can attest, finding the time and motivation to practice can be difficult, especially when you’re used to practicing the same songs over and over again. Rather than bore yourself to death, try switching up your practice plan by adding different genres of music--such as rock, p

Do you love to sing? Check out this list below by St. Augustine, FL voice teacher Heather L. and find out if you were meant for a lifetime of music -- or perhaps even a singing career...   Sometimes, you think you may want to try. Sometimes, you're not really sure. And sometimes, you just know that you were born to sing.
