My passion for teaching lies in cultivating meaningful connections with my students. As an educator, I believe that a teacher's role is to inspire curiosity and guide students to make conclusions on their own. My expertise spans various educational landscapes, including teaching AP, SAT prep, A Level, and iGCSE courses, with a specialization in Biology and Chemistry. I take pride in my ability to guide students to excel in these subjects, evident in the remarkable achievements of my past cohorts. At my previous school, over 80% of my A Level Chemistry students earned A grades (equivalent to a 5 on AP Chem), and my SAT prep class achieved an average score of 1480. In our lessons together, I will first make an assessment of where you are at as a learner and identify your needs. This allows me to tailor my teaching approach, ensuring a learning experience specific to you. My qualifications includes a high school teaching license, Masters in Education, and degrees in Biochemistry and German. My teaching journey spans diverse settings, from 5 years in Detroit public schools to 2 years in a Malaysian international school. Outside of science education, I am an avid musician who has written, recorded, and produced around 30 original songs.
