I have extensive experience and a great enthusiasm for Disney animation, including the development of animation technology by Disney Studios. I love teaching students cartooning and animation techniques!
When you inquire about lessons, please include a bit about your current level of knowledge or experience with cartooning, as well as what you would like to learn from our lessons. I also ask, prior to our first lesson, that you provide me with at least 1 sample of a drawing (of anything) so I have a good idea of where we should start. That way we can dive right into lesson 1 and I'll map out how to reach your goals.
Also, there is no need to worry about forgetting what we cover during classes, because I provide each student with their own copy of a collection of tips, tricks, samples, and shortcuts I've put together.
About Cynthia
Hello! I've been an artist and a teacher for most of my life, and am excited to share those skills with online students. In 1993 I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Art Education, and in 2005 I added a graduate certification in teaching Computers and Related Applications.

I want to help you to become a better artist and have fun while you’re doing it! My style of teaching is to tell you about powerful ways to approach your drawings that will boost your technical ability as fast as possible. In other words, I’m going to help you to make your art look like the thing you’re drawing. But I won’t rush you through it! We’ll take as long as you need to get a good understanding of the most important aspects of the lesson. We can focus on what you are most interested in learning about. Want to learn how to draw faces better? Or maybe improve your proportions for drawing a full body person? Pets, landscapes, still life, it’s your choice because I work for you. Each of these are unique subjects, but there are certain fundamentals that apply to all of them which I will help you with to give your drawings more of a “pop out” look! Some of those things are learning to see values (light and dark), negative space, and how angles and relationships of different elements

Do you want to draw like Rembrandt? Do you want to be the next Van Gogh? Or maybe you want to be able to draw simple subject matter, like your family dog! Well, these are the online classes for you! My name is Timothy and I have been drawing for 30 years (pencil, pen & ink, colored pencil, and oil pastel). I enjoy sharing my art experience with others, no matter what age, no matter where you are beginning. I can begin with the simplest subject matter in drawing, like cartoons, and advance you into more advanced subject matter such as portraiture and drawing from life. My training is a balance of self taught instruction and my art teacher, John Gordon, the designer of the Green Bay Packers logo!
What are you waiting for? Now is the time to cultivate your inner artist and use your artistic talents like never before. Contact me and let’s get the ball rolling.
