As a teacher for 7 years one of my favorite things is bringing the arts into teaching. I've taught infants through adults, beginners and advanced, and the one secret I can absolutely tell you about learning, is if you are happy then you are going to learn a lot more! I'm excited to get to know you and make you smile!

Let me tell you a little about the Lessons I have to offer. I have specific curriculums for several categories such as Landscapes, Abstract, Still Life, and Portraits. One of my classes that is trending right now is "Flourish and Bloom" which a where we create an acrylic painting on canvas of a flower wreath with an inspirational word in the center. I've got pictures below if you'd like to take a look!

About Loren

I'm an artist, musician, and language aficionada. I have a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Georgia, graduating with honors as a Magna Cum Laude in Spanish and French Linguistics. I am fluent in both languages. One thing I love about teaching is bringing the arts into the process of learnin

Loren is an amazing teacher. She is patient, kind and caring. She listened to what I needed in preparation for going to Valencia Spain and then customized the lessons. I think we had a lot of fun together as I slowly began to catch on to the dialect of eastern Spain. BTW - she also knows French! I wish her the very best as she continues teaching others!

Loren is a absolute joy! You will feel so empowered to learn guitar for her even after the first lesson. Plus, she uses many other methods to teach guitar that it feels like you’re having fun and learning at the same time.

Amazing! Loren is a wonderful instructor- I can’t believe how much I learned during my very first lesson. She was knowledgeable, patient, thorough and such a kind person. I can’t wait for my next lesson!!

I have been a professional painter artist and musician for 10 years. I received my BFA from SMU in Fine Art and Painting and have exhibited my work in galleries, shows, exhibitions and sold it at auction. My teachers have included Steve Wilder, Barnaby Fitzgerald, Bill Komodore, Massimo Lippi, Jay Sullivan, and others.

Plein Air, Still Life, and Figurative works are my specialties, but I have also studied the development of the abstract language.

I'm also acquainted with old master mediums and techniques such as egg tempera, grinding pigments, etc.

About Perry

Great personality and knowledge of music, really makes the lessons very personalized, fun and interesting. Definitely a good choice!!

Perry takes the time to explain flamenco and related styles deeply and thoroughly. He also provides detailed micro-scale feedback on hand/arm placement, orientation, range and which muscle groups to engage. But more than the technical, he has an awesome vibe and makes learning guitar quite an enjoyable experience.

Within the first few lessons, you'll start understanding the elements of art such as light, shadows, perspective etc. and as time goes on, you'll be able to paint like a pro! Renata was simply amazing
She made a wonderful meal for us, all while sharing some great cooking tips and stories.
The Salmon was marinated/seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Rice, Kale Salad, and Fresh Bruschetta with French Bread were such a hit, everyone had clean plates by the end of the demo.
Renata came with everything that she needed to prepare the food and even set up/cleaned up everything with no interruption to the rest of our office.
The ones who didn’t participate couldn’t even tell what she had prepared, saying that they didn’t smell any after smell.
Once they learned that we ate Fish/Salmon… Complete Shock.. hehe
Renata is an amazing teacher who is very well versed in culinary arts, she knows many tips and tricks for creating wonderful, flavorful meals.. Thank you for everything, Renata!
Melonee
Great instructor for me and 13 year old son. We cooked beef Bolognese. He enjoyed the class and the conversation with Renata as we ate a delicious and aromatic meal.

My approach to teaching Drawing is a non-traditional, non-textbook way to drawing lessons. I will nurture the inner artist in you while having fun with it. I know that it can be intimidating at first, but drawing is supposed to be fun! I'll show you how. :)

Or If you feel the need to something more than just the basics, I will instruct you to further your technique and skill in drawing, free you from the creative blocks you may have, and help unleash that inner draftsman!

About Glen

Hey there! I'm Glen, a self-taught artist since my days of the crayons. I've graduated to better mediums since then. I'm a retired street artist who specializes on portraiture in most mediums (Wet, Dry, Aerosol, Airbrush, Digital Painting, and Tattooing). Currently, I'm a freelance graphic designer

Looking to merge art and growth? I have been teaching emotional intelligence (aka EQ) classes all over Alberta and BC for the last 3 years from ages 5 - 95. There are lots of painting classes out there, but very few about healing through art.

What is Emotional Intelligence? EQ is an umbrella term for how we relate to ourselves and to others. Self awareness, self management, social awareness and relationship management are key factors to having a high EQ.

Even though these skills are crucial in any community or society, we are often never taught these concepts. Why? Because emotions are greatly understudied. Emotions are messy. They are unpredictable. They hinder left brain thinking that Western culture prides itself on. However, without these vitally important competencies, we are left wondering why we didn't get that job, why we are fighting with loved ones, why we seemingly can't stick to our work out plans and why our world is in a very critical state

I attended one of Andrea’s ‘Emotional Intelligence Through Art’ workshops about a year ago, and it’s been one my of favorite tools for creative expression since then. Like Bob Ross, Andrea has a knack for making art accessible to everyone, and holds a space where everyone feels like an artist. Her facilitation style weaves together both guidance and independence for the artist, in which I felt safe and inspired to paint my deepest emotions. It was pure joy and connection getting to be a part of this experience!

I attended ‘Painting with a Purpose’ with my daughter. Andrea was super great at making color and expression with color accessible to all ages and personality types. She was thorough with her instructions and easy to listen to and learn from. I would definitely recommend her class!

"Julie was able to focus (pun intended) on my specific photographic needs and interests--in this case with lessons in depth of field, composition/cropping, lighting, and special effects (such as applying a brushstroke effect to make the result look more like a painting, or darkening the edges of a photo to better emphasize the center) for close-up subjects like leaves, flowers, and tree trunks, as well as landscapes. I learned so very much that I can apply to both my existing raw photos as well as my future photographic efforts. I am truly WOWED!"
