Being born to deaf parents, my first language is American Sign Language. I am a CODA (child of deaf adult). My primary language is English and an expert ASL signer. By nature, Im apart of the Deaf/HH community and look to grow in advocating. I would like to reach hearing parents with deaf children or even hearing children with deaf parents by helping them advance in using their sign language skills proficiently.
I’m also interested in working with students whom are interested in ASL as a second language or even a hobby. Taking ASL in high school and need tutoring? I can assist in learning the visual and gestural communication of the signing.

About Amber

Do you want to expand your signing skills from a CODA (Child Of Deaf Adult) and educator? ASL being my first language and English a second language, I’ve signed to my mother, father, brothers and others in the deaf community by nature. I’m currently learning to sign music in ASL which has been a gr

Kerstin is a fantastic teacher. She connected right away with my daughter Chloe who is 8 years old and immediately engaged and had her learning German after 1 lesson. She is punctual and professional. I highly recommend her.

She was absolutely patient and was able to work with and engage my son who has a learning disability. She did a great job making him feel comfortable and after only one session I could see his confidence go up as he continued to draw into the evening. She really enjoys what she does and it shows in the way she worked with my son.

I've had two Finnish lessons with Jared so far. He's a great teacher. Very informative, and when I'm feeling overwhelmed he does a great job of answering my questions. I've learned more Finnish grammar between this first and second week of my lesson than I have in 25 years of hearing the language spoken.

"I am currently enrolled in Joy's online Spanish lessons. In the beginning, I was a bit apprehensive about receiving private tutoring over the internet, however my apprehensiveness quickly diminished following my first lesson with Joy. Joy has been a wonderful teacher. Her level of patience is remarkable. Also, the way she presents material is in a concise manner makes learning very attainable. She is very passionate and prideful in her work. She is also always able and willing to answer any questions I have either during our lesson, or on a day we do not meet. Joy is a very talented teacher. She has truly made me desire on continuing more Spanish even after I graduate college. If there was one thing I could change, it would be for us to meet more than twice a week. But, above all I look forward to my lessons with Joy every week."

Learn Japanese Grammar: How to Use Japanese Adjectives

Verbs and nouns are vital to form a sentence, but if you want to add some color, you also need adjectives. Here, Ann Arbor, MI teacher Elaina R. shows you how to use Japanese adjectives... Adjectives are descriptive words. The stove is hot. The blue sky turned black. I am confused. We use tons of adjectives in our everyday speech. If you're learning Japanese, learning to use adjectives is a must. Luckily, using adjectives in Japanese is pretty darn easy. There are only tw …
