Well, so far this is only my first bass lesson, so I didn't even know if I would like it. But I must say I'm more excited than ever! Kevin is clearly a virtuoso player, with a pleasant, relaxed demeanor, clear teaching style, and the best sense of humor. That really takes any edge off any nervousness. I'm looking forward to the next one!

I had an eye opening experience taking lessons with mr. Gaydamovich. He is a fantastic teacher, who has an in depth knowledge and practical experience not only about the technique, but also about musicianship as a whole. As an incredibly well rounded and thoughtful coach, he has helped me overcome my hurdles in playing and guided me to become a better and more thoughtful musician as well as a human being.

About Alexandra
I received my Bachelors from UMASS Amherst in trumpet performance and music education. While attending I was trained to become an educator for K-12 grades, receiving experience as an elementary and high school assistant. I have taught private lessons for the past 6 years to all age groups. Throughout the years I have learned a lot about various teaching methods, the importance of curriculum, and how to hold a student's interest.

Recently, while attending NYU to receive my Masters in Jazz Performance, I have been teaching Undergraduate non-music major students trumpet and piano. All of these students have varied in musical expertise, interest in artists/genres, and of course personality and learning style. Through this I have gained much experience in how to teach the same concept different ways. Reading music, classical and jazz tongu
ing, phrasing, sight reading, and range are just a few concepts I focus on with students.

As a classical trumpet player, I understand the demands of becoming a soloist or orchestral member through learning the necessary repertoire and technique. As a jazz trumpet player, I am able to teach ear training, how to create lines and understand harmony, as well as the physical demands of range and articulation.

I am also able to teach piano, I have 4 years of classical piano experience. In addition to my personal studies and teaching experiences. I have taught piano to a range of age groups as well (5-25). Based on skill level, I use certain method books to include scales, chords, reading music, rhythm, and basic musicianship skills.

It would be wonderful to have you as my student, to train, work, and grow together as great musicians!

Alex is a great teacher! I took private lessons with Alex through my university for a semester, and I am thankful that I did. She helped me immensely with my form, and I also learned a great deal about jazz and jazz theory that I can use again in the future. I would definitely recommend Alex as a teacher!

I was an older student but beginner trumpet player when I first started taking lessons from Alex. I didn't have much of a musical background but her clear passion about the trumpet, and her enthusiasm, patience and encouragement as a teacher made me a fan of the trumpet as well. Her lessons were varied and tailored to fit my experience level and individual playing style which kept them interesting. By introducing different and creative ways to work on technique Alex continued to make me a better player. I would highly recommend her.

Mike is a great instructor; he was patient in explaining the fundamentals of drumming and helpful in his suggestions of what equipment might be best for me to purchase on my own, should I choose to. He also let me borrow his drum set for a while so that I could practice on my own. I highly recommend Mike.

About Sarah
Hey there! Thanks for checking out my profile.

My name is Sarah, and I am a Music Therapy and Composition student at Converse. I have over 15 years of experience in piano, and play six other instruments as well. I have a passion for music, and love merging that passion with my love of teaching and helping others.

What makes my teaching style unique is that I can relate to students. I have been there, so I know how it feels. I know how practicing can be boring or frustrating, and how it can be hard to find time to practice. Using this experience I employ unique games and exercises to help motivate my students to get over these obstacles and succeed to the highest level.

Another thing that makes me unique is the fact that I am a composer. I have access to composition software, and can use that to transpose or compose music that is indiv
idual to every student's level. (This also cuts down on book costs at times.)

Overall, I just want to see my students happy and thriving in their love for music! Feel free to message me for details or if you have any questions. I look forward to working with you!

Hey!

My name is Nathan and I love music. I started out learning classical piano ata young age. By the time I reached 18 I was intrigued by jazz but had no idea how to play without reading music. With the help of a teacher I was able to understand how to listen to the different parts of a song and write them out so I could play them.

With that knowledge I've been able to take my love of jazz music and play with a band. Knowing how I struggled to go from reading music and playing classical to playing jazz I'd love to teach others how to make that transition and simply the process.

11 Annoying Things People Say to Female Guitarists
Female guitarists rock just as hard, if not harder than some men, yet the things people say to us sound like they're straight from the 1950s! Ladies, women, and girls, here are 11 of the most annoying things I've heard in my years of playing guitar. Maybe a few will sound familiar to you too? 1. Is that for your boyfriend? Why do some people find it so unbelievable that you're carrying your own gear or shopping at Guitar Center for yourself? 2. You're pretty good for a girl.
Guitar Basics: Why is Technique Important?
New to the guitar? Getting the basics down - including proper positioning and guitar technique - is important from the very start. Here, Lowell, IN teacher Blake C. explains...    Over the years, many experienced guitarists have arrived at my studio doorstep asking for help to improve their playing. These guitarists didn’t understand why they were struggling, and merely thought they were stuck in some sort of a slump. However, the slump that these guitarists suffered was not cause

5 Reasons Why All Guitarists Should Learn Music Theory
Some guitarists have a lot of excuses when it comes to learning music theory. Guitar teacher Zachary A. shatters these excuses, busts a few myths, and shares why music theory is so important for guitarists after all... Music theory is a vast, almost unending, amount of knowledge. Many of music's greats studied and had schooling for decades. In all honesty I do not believe that you ever really finish studying, at least when you are dedicated and when you have the desire to learn music. The
