I'm a rhythm and lead guitarist & songwriter for for multiple projects with worldwide social recognition.  I graduated from San Jose State with a Bachelor's of Music in jazz guitar, and am currently teaching around 40 lessons a week to students ranging in ability from beginner to professional. My versatility, experience and formal training helps me to make the learning experience easy, stress free and fun.

Currently, I play in a number of performing groups gigging regularly & produce artists for their own projects. I spent much of the past 20 years touring with a blues gospel artist, EC Scott, in which I have played with and rubbed elbows with a number of well known musician celebrities.

Since 2001, I have released 5 Albums which have received airplay worldwide on various digital platforms and radio stations. I am currently endorsed by Blade guitars by Gary Levinson.

I teach my clients in my creative and comfortable home teaching studio in Gilroy, California. I work with singers, guitarists/bassists, pianists & songwriters/producers/composers in a wide age range, assorted skill levels with a variety of musical goals.
Some of the musical styles I regularly teach: Rock, Pop, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B, and Folk.

I am Currently teaching all styles in guitar, bass, and ukulele in a fun atmosphere!

With 40 years of teaching and touring experience and a Music Performance Bachelor Degree, Bill can teach a variety of styles be it rock, funk, blues, pop, or folk in a fun atmosphere.  From beginner to pro either guitar or bass TAB or reading music manuscript charts, Bill teaches his students how to be their own prolific guitarist harnessing their own style with sophisticated harmonies and techniques. Bill C I. has the ability to instantly elevate the proceedings on any lesson or session by channeling the spirits of his own personal guitar heroes, George Benson to Larry Carlton, as well as Jimi Hendrix to Joe Satriani.

Bill is very capable, friendly, patient, and efficient.  We've been at it for a month and it's going very well.  It's easy to tell that he's taught a lot.

He is really a fantastic guitar teacher. He knows everything how to teach guitar step by step.

Easily one of the best teachers I've ever had for any subject! As a computer science graduate, I recognize quality instruction. Bill will guide you and help you understand from your perspective. For example, he translates my understanding of coding to improve my performance with Chords, Scales, Rhythm, strums, licks, and other things I continue to practice. I am starting from 0, but I am well on my way to the ultimate goal of performing at an amateur's night!

Bill is an excellent teacher. He personalized my lessons to correspond with my experience and what I was trying to achieve with lessons. I realized after the first lesson I was already looking and seeing notes the fretboard differently, really, that was just the first lesson! Bill has helped me build a foundation with guitar playing with understanding the fretboard to building chords anywhere on the fretboard. Bill has also helped me with my rhythm and incorporating building chords and learning scales. Bill has challenged me and simultaneously been flexible with my schedule. In this video, we will use the C scale notes to learn a Star Wars song.  This will help you to memorize notes and apply them to any song you want to play.

Advanced Ukulele Lesson1

In this lesson we are going to learn some simple strum patterns as well as learn a few more simple chords to add to our repertoire of chords.  We will also apply these techniques and learn our first song.

In this video you will learn how to play and construct the C Scale which are all natural notes and where song melodies are based from.  Then you will learn more ukulele chords and rhythms to prepare you for songs.  Let's have fun!
