I have been teaching Sign Language for the Deaf for over twenty years.
I have taught it in the classroom because I have had two students who were Deaf, and I had to find a way to communicate with them so I took classes in Sign Language for the Deaf so I could communicate with Pam and Charles, and my students could communicate with them as well.
I start out by teaching my students the ABC'S, Numbers one to ten, simple phrases such as please, thank you, your welcome, the colors of the rainbow and simple questions and answers. I also teach words to songs that students can sing in church.
I have been the only Customer Service Representative at Fairlane Town Center that could Sign to the Deaf customers, and I have also Signed for my church.
I ask that if a student wants to learn Sign Language for the Deaf that they bring someone with them that they can practice with throughout the week.
I am a patient, enthusiastic teacher in the following areas: piano, violin, cello, drums, music history, and music theory. I have taught vocal and instrumental music in both Catholic and Public schools, and in after-school programs, for 20 years, and have been giving private lessons for 9 years. I e
Loquacious, but each moment of verbal conversation has a message that leads to the musical lessons of the day. I really appreciate her knowledge and skill. I am often reminiscent of my violin instructor as a child. Each session leaves me with the zeal to practice hard in eager preparation
for the next.
I have found that the attending student group to be extremely supportive to all other students especially to those experiencing performance anxiety. Repeating attendees (from all over the country) have formed lasting friendships among themselves which have endured for years. Eight week long sessions are given throughout the year. In addition there are summer sessions for school aged youth
and also 4 short week sessions for those wishing to try a sampling of the camp. This past January was my 3rd year attending the camp and I will be returning again next year. My experiences at the camp have been truly unforgettable. More information can be obtained at Sonatina.com

s incredible as touring and performing can be, I have a huge passion for teaching banjo too. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced player, it’s important to me to show you that banjo is not just a bluegrass instrument, but an incredibly versatile conduit to EVERY type of music.
Though I mostly teach three-finger style (from beginner to advanced lessons), I teach the occasional clawhammer lesson as well. We can talk about anything you’d like– I maintain the importance of keeping lessons personal and only going in the direction you want.

Hello! My name is Phillip M. and I have been playing the Horn for 18 years now. I started back in elementary school and haven't looked back since. After high school, I went to Central Michigan University where I earned my Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance while studying under Dr. Bruce Bonnell.
So grateful Phillip - she is anxious to spend the summer learning from you - we appreciate your approach and as he said ability to "put her at ease" so she can feel comfortable to learn. Awesome first lesson.

Interested in branching out from the typical classical piano repertoire? Learn how to explore the world of rock with this guest post by Saint Augustine, FL teacher Heather L... During my past decade of teaching music, I've met a lot of students who seem interested only in taking drums or guitar. Why? It's not because they were particularly well-suited to either of them, or because they loved the instruments, but because they wanted to play rock music, and they thought that the only way …
