Teaching has always been my passion. I have been teaching Mandarin for 10 years at various Language Institutes, and taught at private schools in Michigan for total of 5 years. With corporate client experience, I also have been working as a Mandarin instructor in a language company. There are many adult students with different levels who are currently learning Chinese from me. My success stems from enthusiasm, self-motivation, patient, creativity and the ability to communicate with students from diverse backgrounds. It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to make the learning easy and fun.

I have being taking English classes since I was 6 years old, all the way to the second year of college. It ranged from the basics, of course, to grammar, phrases, and literature. Some of the requirements for graduation were to write poems, essays and opinions on novels or scripts and the history of literature in the United States, Spain and Puerto Rico. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Political Science with minors in French, Spanish and English. I have been teaching English as a second language (ESL) for over 2 years now. It started with a friend and fellow teacher's request to teach 2 Spanish-speaking small business owners which wanted to speak English fluently to communicate with their customers. They are the ones who have inspired me to add this subject here at WyzAnt to give others the opportunity to learn with me. They were very satisfied and are doing better in their businesses. What they like the most about my lessons is that I don't teach using boring grammar, verb conjugation ...

As an international student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, language is always one of my most familiar tools. From my past experience of tutoring high schoolers and adults, I believe a language is not only about vocabulary, grammar or accent, but also built by the culture and history behind. I'd like to help students to not only be good at a language, but also get to know the the people and the place that make the language valuable. Learning a language should never be boring while we discover the mysterious origin of every rule and word together.
I always introduce myself as a people person. Since elementary school, I have involved in various activities that enable me to interact with people. The interaction or communication among people makes the society and our lives more fun and fulfilled, and we cannot accomplish this without languages.
