B.A.Degree from Marygrove College
I have been teaching Sign Language for the Deaf for over twenty years.
I have taught it in the classroom because I have had two students who were Deaf, and I had to find a way to communicate with them so I took classes in Sign Language for the Deaf so I could communicate with Pam and Charles, and my students could communicate with them as well.
I start out by teaching my students the ABC'S, Numbers one to ten, simple phrases such as please, thank you, your welcome, the colors of the rainbow and simple questions and answers. I also teach words to songs that students can sing in church.
I have been the only Customer Service Representative at Fairlane Town Center that could Sign to the Deaf customers, and I have also Signed for my church.
I ask that if a student wants to learn Sign Language for the Deaf that they bring someone with them that they can practice with throughout the week.
I am a patient, enthusiastic teacher in the following areas: piano, violin, cello, drums, music history, and music theory. I have taught vocal and instrumental music in both Catholic and Public schools, and in after-school programs, for 20 years, and have been giving private lessons for 9 years. I
Loquacious, but each moment of verbal conversation has a message that leads to the musical lessons of the day. I really appreciate her knowledge and skill. I am often reminiscent of my violin instructor as a child. Each session leaves me with the zeal to practice hard in eager preparation
for the next.
I have found that the attending student group to be extremely supportive to all other students especially to those experiencing performance anxiety. Repeating attendees (from all over the country) have formed lasting friendships among themselves which have endured for years. Eight week long sessions are given throughout the year. In addition there are summer sessions for school aged youth
and also 4 short week sessions for those wishing to try a sampling of the camp. This past January was my 3rd year attending the camp and I will be returning again next year. My experiences at the camp have been truly unforgettable. More information can be obtained at Sonatina.com

I have a deep knowledge of Spanish grammar, orthography and syntax. My pronunciation is very clear. I make difficult things look easy. If you want to develop conversational Spanish in short time (understanding many people with different accents), I have the methodology for you to be fluent in Spanish.
My name is Gregorio M. I am a native speaker of Spanish with a very clear pronunciation. I am a Spanish instructor at Washtenaw Community College. I have a degree in chemistry and a master degree in environmental chemistry. I have been working as a Spanish tutor in the Ann Arbor area since 2009.
I really felt well prepared and was able to speak and teach in Spanish. Gregorio was an excellent teacher, very patient and also very flexible regarding my demanding work schedule. I hope to have more travel assignments to Spanish speaking countries in the future- and I will definitely contact Gregorio for some touch up help.
Gracias por todo!

I am a mother of two awesome boys. I am married, my first language is Spanish and my kids speak, read and write Spanish. I love to teach specially this great language. Learning Spanish is going to give you confidence and great opportunities to get a job. Spanish is 100% phonetic. Words are pronounced exactly as they are written. It is fun and it's not difficult to learn.
If you are not satisfied with the class, I will offer you a makeup class, because it is very important for me that you feel happy.

I got my bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in my country Colombia. Since 2006, I have been teaching. I love to be a teacher and I love Spanish. I would like to help others to learn it in an easy way and at the same time enjoy the class. I am very proud of my students specially because th
Here's what I think makes Claudia unique:
* Carefully planned out teaching method. She has a carefully planned out method for teaching Spanish and uses quality materials. She has garnered the best materials and supplemented them with her own. She teaches Spanish in a logical sequence where each step includes material from the previous ones. This has helped me to reinforce the concepts I learned earlier.
* My lessons with her include a mix of grammar, speaking, and listening. It's much easier for me to understand written Spanish than to understand the spoken word or to speak it myself. Claudia makes a point in each lesson to practice speaking and listening to help with this. This has probably been the biggest help to me so far.
* She provides homework customized to my level so I can practice between sessions. Sometimes the homework is an audio recording that she has recorded herself especially for me. The fact that she does this shows how much she cares about her student's success.
* Her patience. She has to be the most patient person I've ever met. Sometimes it takes a while to get a concept or to understand, but she is always happy to repeat herself or slow down. There have been more than a few sessions where she has done this a lot!
* Her encouragement. Learning a new language can be frustrating at times but Claudia is always encouraging and celebrates even the smallest progress.
It seems like there are a lot of Spanish teachers out there who know how to speak Spanish, but I think there are very few who really know how to teach it. Obviously Claudia is a native speaker of Spanish, but she is also an expert teacher. I feel fortunate to have found her and have referred other students to her. I can't recommend her highly enough!

I'm a native English speaker who learned Brazilian Portuguese on the streets, as I like to call it, while I lived in Brazil for a couple of years. I have attained full command of the language, with intimate knowledge of the grammar structure as well as an extensive vocabulary. I've been speaking fluently for close to 5 years now. In that time, I've successfully convinced many Brazilians that I too was a Brazilian, meaning that I've completely gotten rid of the American accent. I did this in both Brazil and the U.S. I still consistently speak with native Brazilians and always am seeking to expand my own vocabulary. To add on, my girlfriend is a native Brazilian, and her father is currently seeking his master's degree (well, the Brazilian equivalent) in Portuguese (like, somebody here in the U.S. receiving their graduate degree in English). Each lesson is catered to the individual's needs and goals. So, as Ice Cube and his crew, NWA once famously stated, during lessons with me, you're ...
