About Jose
I am Jose, graduated as an undergrad at Towson University and currently enrolled at University of Maryland. My career is focus on Spanish Literature and Latin American Studies. While majoring on those careers, I participated on a work study group as a tutor in Spanish Linguistics, Culture, and History. I am originally from Peru and have been a volunteer teaching, assisting, and leading educational plans in Mexico and Peru. I enjoy teaching because it connects different people who share similarities and differences culturally and willing to learn about one another.
My experience comes from teaching abroad in both rural areas and cities in Latin America. Currently working at Wolfe Street Academy as the Spanish program coordinator which serves students from low-socioeconomic backgrounds. I enjoy merging methodologies and differentiating to
help students overcome their learning difficulties. Hence, strengthening their learning weaknesses and polishing their learnings’ strengths.
While studying Spanish, I learn that teaching a language is not solely about grammar but rather the culture and structure behind it. Grammar nonetheless is part of the language and a co-requirement to excel academically. My qualifications comes from my multicultural methodology where I teach and provide students resources to self-learn and structure their metacognitive abilities. Merging both culture and language provides opportunities to research, creative write, independent study themes and topics related to the language of Spanish. My interdisciplinary vision provides students the ability to learn grammar not as a base but a tool to comprehend, critical think, and synthesize own their own perceptions and opinions about its culture.
Being a teacher means that one once was a student. The value of learning different things and paying attention to details while having fun in discovering and researching has make craft my abilities to teach the particular subjects describe previously. I will end by quoting Nelson Mandela "Education is the most powerful weapon in the world to entice change" I look forward working with everyone.

Hello!

Whether you are looking for practical German or a more academic learning experience I am here to help! My love for German, Germany, and other German-speaking cultures goes back to 7th grade when I decided I would take a German class my 8th grade year. Since then I have been to Germany several times, lived with a host family, continue to talk to several of my German speaking friends, and have even read several of the Harry Potter books in German - making this language a big part of my life! I enjoy teaching and am considering becoming a German professor as a full-time career choice, but am starting out on a smaller scale. I have informally worked with several students, at different levels, tutoring German, and have learned so much about second language acquisition as well as how each person processes the German language. I wholehe
artedly believe in a well-rounded learning process that utilizes listening, reading, writing, and cultural exercises. I look forward to developing a personalized learning plan to help you achieve your language goals, no matter your experience.

I am thrilled to start working .It’s clear that you’re looking for an enthusiastic teacher that can be relied upon to fully engage with the role and develop professionally in a self-motivated manner. Given these requirements, I believe I am the perfect candidate for the job.

I am a focused recent college graduate (Mathematics) from Howard Community College. During the course of my academic career, I also managed to accrue nearly two years of work experience. I had the privilege of working for Howard Community College as a part-time Math Tutor, where I learned valuable professional skills such as multitasking, communication, and critical thinking. In both my academic and professional life, I have been consistently praised as Hard-working by my professors and peers. Whether working on academic, extracurricular, or professional projects, I
apply proven organizational skills, which I hope to leverage into position of teacher.

After reviewing this, I hope you will agree that I am the type of positive and driven teacher that you are looking for. I am excited to elaborate on how my specific skills and abilities will benefit you.

She was an outstanding teacher with an exceptional talent in piano performance and teaching. She is very knowledgeable. She stayed focused and she is passionate about the pieces and demonstrated a lot on the pieces. I can also tell she is a very good pianist because she was able to illustrate everything I had to know in such a short amount of time. Another thing I really appreciated was how quickly and fully she was able to communicate with me about the lesson times and any questions I had for playing. I am so thankful for her encouragement, smile, jokes, and all the tips she gave me in the lesson. She is a fantastic teacher for sure, and I definitely recommend her. She surely has a gift of teaching.

Dear SooJi,

You asked for my thoughts on you as a teacher, but I don't think I'll be able to explain those very easily. Your impact on my life is more than I can explain or show. Of all the things I've learned from you, I consider Korean to be of a lesser importance than the life lessons, friendship, and communication skills you've taught me, whether on purpose or not. I'm thankful for everything you've done for me. I'll never forget how understanding and compassionate you are, and I can only hope to grow up and be half the person you are now. In all honesty, you're the best teacher I've ever had, and now I can understand what people mean when they say "This teacher shaped who I am today" and I'll never forget on stop being thankful to them.
Thank you for being you<3 Thank you for being the best Korean/Life teacher <3 Thank you for being the most passionate, true, and honest teacher <3

SooJi.. I don't even know where to begin. She is an amazing teacher and just an amazing human being in general. I pick up things very easy but for some reasons, Korean was and is a real challenge for me. I'm not sure why this is. Maybe because I want to learn this more than anything else? Maybe my brain wants to work harder to get where my heart is? Who knows, but I do know why I'm ven progressing in this challenge. A good teacher can inspire hope, stimulate the imagination, and install love of learning. If that quote had a title, it would be SooJi. She is truly my only role model. I'm not exactly sure why she is this to me, but she is. I respect her so much and she inspires me all the time. Honestly, I can't imagine my life without her in it. SooJi means so much to me. More than what can be expressed with pretty little words. A teacher is supposed to give hope to students, but she does so much more. She IS so much more. She isn't just a teacher any more. She is my friend, my role model, my sister. Because of her, hears have changed, hearts have healed, and bonds have been created that some blonde little girls can't get anywhere else. Yes, sometimes SooJi criticizes us, but that's she's supposed to do. We know she cares even more when she does this because she wants us to grow. Without her, I don't think I would know anything nearly as close to what I know now. Not just the language, but also the culture. I wish to always have someone like SooJi in my life, someone who inspires and loves me. I miss you SooJi! Honestly, She is just too phenomenal. She has a natural give of teaching, making jokes with people, making students feel comfortable. She is excellent. I love her so much <3
