Anyone who can teach me the intricacies of the clarinet deserves a prize. Tyreese qualifies. Tyreese is patient, detailed, and of course, very knowledgeable. He's just very good at teaching music and I made progress that frankly surprised me. Of course I recommend him. I'm glad I had the opportunity to study clarinet with Tyreese.

Our voice is such a unique instrument, because it is inside of us. It makes the act of singing amazing and hard at the same time, because we all have different instruments and there is no general rule that works for everyone in the same way. When I teach, I always take into consideration the uniqueness of the voice I am working with, and this requires a great deal of attention and sensitivity. I am very passionate about teaching and my goal is to share my passion and my knowledge, in order to acquire the tools to develop that beautiful instrument that our voice is!

About Alessia

I am an Italian -American Soprano, with Master degrees in piano and voice performance. I have been teaching piano and voice for the past 10 years. I teach italian as well. It is such an amazing language to learn! I believe that it is never too early or too late to develop a new talent. I love mus

I have been taking Italian lessons with Alessia for the past 5 months. Each week, I look forward to meeting her with excitement. Alessia keeps the lessons light and fun and goes at a pace that is comfortable for the learner. She is very accommodating both in desired lesson plans and availability. In addition, she provides cultural insight and praise and possesses a great deal of patience and positivity. I highly recommend her.
Lauren
I came to Alessia's lessons with little experience using proper vocal technique and admittedly as a voice student well outside the usual age range - which meant that we had to work on unlearning some long standing bad habits. Alessia has been extremely patient in reinforcing the elements of good vocal technique. At the same time, she is great at communicating what she wants to see me work on and how well I'm succeeding in those areas. And most importantly, I can hear the improvement in my singing! Highly recommend, especially for those interested in singing musical theater or classical pieces.

Raycurt is not only knowledgeable, he is extremely skilled. He is thorough and maximizes time by providing superb instruction. My son looks forward to attending his classes; and I am a parent who is beyond pleased with Raycurt’s level of expertise.

This was a really unfortunate and wasted experience. Raycurt was wildly unprepared to teach. He brought a broken metronome and almost no sheet music/lesson plan. I had spoken both to the sales rep and Raycurt himself prior to the lesson and he was still fully unprepared.

I also explained my level of experience and was assured Raycurt was qualified to teach at the level I needed, but he came off as less knowledgable than me, which was particularly disappointing.

Worst of all, after multiple hours of speaking on the phone, I couldn't get my money back for this lesson.

I'd strongly recommend not using takelessons at all, they've put a horrible taste in my mouth for their entire service.

"Shon Morgan is absolutely the greatest most talented musician and music teacher I have ever had the privilege of learning from and playing music with. I am a drummer/guitarist/vocalist. We did some touring gigs together in our earlier years and he was already amazing back then. He sat down and taught me the circle of fifths off the top of his head in one conversation. I learned so much just playing along side him. So not only is he an amazing player, but he is also very well suited and experienced as a teacher. He is the most knowledgeable musically but patient and kind personally. He plays and teaches multiple instruments and vocals really well but he stands out tremendously on bass guitar! You can not go wrong having Shon Morgan as your teacher, period!"

10 Wacky Ways to Improve Your Posture for Better Violin Playing

Proper posture is essential for good violin playing. Standing or sitting up straight not only improves tone production and control, but it also prevents injury and discomfort. Many violin players, however, struggle with their posture, which can lead to poor technique and cause both short and long term injuries. Not to mention you'll end up looking like Quasimodo. Poor posture can be a result of many things, such as sitting or standing without interruption for long periods of time, lack …

Guitar Playing Tips | Eliminating Bad Habits & Reducing Injury

As far as guitar playing tips go, understanding proper form should be at the top of the list! Here, North Wales, PA guitar teacher Nathan D. shares the basics...   As a multi-instrumental musician, I am constantly checking my form to prevent strain or injury. Hours of improperly played guitar, piano, violin, and even clarinet can make one's fingers and elbows throb, and the impact of playing drums too hard with poor form can cause major injury to wrists all the way to your shoulders. …
