Very informative lesson. We were able to spend time just playing a round of pool and evaluating where I was at in the process. Then took up more advanced topics and also breaking bad habits. Will be scheduling more lessons soon!

Teresa is a very knowledgeable and talented teacher! I have learned so many new techniques with sewing and clothing design thanks to her! She is very patient, kind, and dedicated to making sure her students acquire the skills they need to be successful. She thoroughly explains the projects we are working on as well as gives a clear demonstration on any project we are working on. Her in home studio is beautiful! It is quiet, clean, and organized. I truly enjoy my visits there! I’m very lucky that I found Teresa through Take Lessons and I’m so thankful to have her as my sewing guru!

Theresa was amazing is all I can say. My daughter needed a choreographed ballet program in three days and she pulled it together and made extra time to fit her in so she could perfect it. I should say my daughter has not done ballet since the start of the pandemic. I am so thankful for her.

"My son USCF rating 1400+ took a trial lesson with Danial. Danial is methodical and systematic in his coaching. He was quick to identify what my son needs to improve in order to get to the next level. The most important thing is that my son enjoyed his one-hour lesson and literally felt that the lesson time flew by as it felt like only 2 minutes long to him. My son gives Danial thumbs up and 5 stars."

"Sam is a truly fantastic teacher. I am a clinical counselor and very picky with giving praise to anyone in the helping and teaching professions, but Sam, who (among other qualifications), also has a psychology AND teaching background, has a gift of making children feel almost instantly accepted, cherished, and excited. He is patient, warm, strategic but flexible, always adjusting to my daughter's needs in an instant. Sam provides that perfect combination of inciting commitment and a disciplined approach to learning while allowing a child to grow in his or her own pace and have fun while doing it that most children need, and I can whole-heartedly recommend him to anyone."

Eventually, I adopted some of the openings that I will show you in this post and my rating skyrocketed. Opening Principles The first …

Chess Rules: a Step-by-Step Guide for Beginners

I will admit to you, the reader, that most of the articles I have written thus far assume that the reader is already a fairly avid chess player, who is aware of the basic rules of chess and thus is interested in learning more advanced strategies, traps, and tricks with the goal of decisively defeating the opponent. But, of course, not everybody is born knowing the rules of chess---there are, in fact, many out there who are unfamiliar with the game, and need an introduction. Especially now …
