I can honestly saying working as a Vocal Coach has been one of the best jobs in my life. What I love about teaching singing lessons in Chicago is the flexibility, diversity, and the drive of my students. I teach a broad range of students starting at age five and up. Working in Chicago, a major performing arts state, you meet a lot of young singers. Many of these singers want to become amazing performers; however, they don’t quite have the proper tools and techniques to get them to that level. I love training beginning students because seeing them grow and become confident in their voice is such a beautiful thing to me. It brings me great joy to know that I helped a singer find something in them that they never knew they had or could produce. One of my students came to me and said she wanted a chance to showcase her voice and songwriting skills but she was really bashful. At our first lesson, I could tell she really wasn’t confident with her voice. Yet, it has been a couple months since that first lesson and not only has she learned six songs but we are also working on a song together, which she wrote the lyrics and I wrote the music behind it. She is now confident and is in love with her new found voice! “Nothing is impossible when you are talented, dedicated, focused, and a hard worker, put all four together and dreams will start to come true”
