High school guitar director and professional guitarist with 10+ years of experience!

I am currently a high school guitar director, worship guitarist, metal band guitarist, and jazz guitar instructor. I am fluent across multiple styles of guitar playing including the bass guitar, ukulele, mandolin, and banjo. I have extensive knowledge of music theory and how to apply it to the guitar for easier playing. I am an extremely versatile performer and educator with experience recording and performing in various genres. Many of my students get accepted into our All County and All State ensembles and my high school program is a large, self-sustaining program. I like to have fun and cater to what is best for my students. I look forward to working with you!

About Yegues S.

Currently a Masters degree student studying project management and sound design. I was the Guitar Director and AP Music Theory teacher in Orlando, FL. I have a degree in Music Education and Flute Performance from Florida State University. Flute was my primary instrument throughout high school and college. Guitar was always my side instrument until recent years when I have surpassed my ability on the flute. I have given countless lessons and master classes on both flute and guitar ranging from beginners to experienced players. I have also been a music theory tutor for many students needing to pass their AP exams or needing to gain better understanding of basic theory. Due to my 12+ years of teaching privately and in large ensembles, I am an expert in tailoring my teaching to the students I have in front of me. Every class I teach has different personalities and ability levels and it is my job to assess their levels and tailor my instruction to individuals. I love laughing and making jokes, which is one of the most important aspects of any teacher. Lessons should be something to look forward to rather than dreading to spend time practicing. I am very laidback and flexible, but very efficient with time and likes to make the most out of every minute of instruction and practice.
