You can have conversations or watch a film on Netflix while turning a piece of yarn into something useful, one stitch at a time.  But it's also very relaxing, once you're up to speed. Billie is a patient teacher who will ensure that you'll be knitting in no time.

In your first class you'll learn how to cast on, and do the knit and purl stitches.
If time permits, you'll also learn how to bind off.  Billie can help you select patterns to make things that will be at the right skill level for you.

Many knitters shy away from the purl stitch.  Why?  With my method, purling is as smooth as doing the knit stitch.  

Smooth Purling

Welts are great features to add to cuffs or button bands or anywhere you want to have a professional finish to an edging.  Here I show how to pick up the stitches to be knitted together with a nearby row.

In 1927 Elsa Schiaparelli introduced her first line of handknits. The method used in her famous Bowknot sweater is referred to as the Armenian technique.  Floats are carried throughout, even in areas that could be knit as solid colors, creating a double-thick fabric where the floats are meant to show through.

Sequins can be knit right into your knitting as you go, as opposed to applied later on. In this video I show you how to pre-string the sequins onto your yarn and how to maneuver the sequin through the stitch.
