Raised in largely bilingual household. B.A. in Spanish from UW (cum laude). English fluency slightly stronger. Extremely high level Spanish proficiency although the minutiae within humor can sometimes be lost. Excellent for those who need help with pronunciation, grammar (clarification of grammatical rules like the difference between a direct object and an indirect object, etc.), conjugation, and conversation.

I took 8 years of Spanish classes and lived in Ecuador where I used Spanish on a daily basis.
My teaching philosophy is to help students engage in learning. I find that a personal connection to new information makes it more engaging and meaningful, and students remember it better too. It's also more fun.
That being said, if learning is more readily achieved for your student through other methods, we will do whatever works best. I cater to results, because my ultimate goal is the student's success.

Can you imagine an actress giving Arabic lessons! Well that’s me. Are you wondering what could make an actress give Arabic lessons? The answer is love. I love that the Arabic language is built up on emotions and is poetic. Through my work as an actress I have to use perfect language as well as perfect skills in delivering the language. Actors in Syria need to have very good Arabic, especially Fusha. Being an Arabic native speaker doesn’t mean that your Fusha is good. My Fusha is good because I’ve always loved reading both novels and poetry, and because I used to write in Arabic newspapers, and beside all of these things, I had the chance to practice my Fusha through my work as an actress.
I started tutoring Arabic four years ago. I teach both Fusha and Syrian dialect for children and adults. Through the years I’ve worked on making my lessons full of fun and energy. My lessons are definitely unconventional with a lot of activities in and out the class. Sometimes I cook Syrian food ...
I am a known Syrian actress, I have a Bachelor degree in acting and I was a teacher's assistant acting in the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Syria for six years, that is why I have teaching skills. And with both my teaching skills and love for Arabic language I decided to be an Arabic tutor

Tim was an excellent tutor for my teenage son. He was always on time for their tutoring sessions, very accomendating to our busy schedule, and was very patient with my student. Tim adjusted and flexed to my son's tutoring needs. Tim changed channels and assisted with English as well as with Spanish as my son's studying needs dictated. He challenged my son and taught him how to determine the answer; he did not just give my son the answers. My student received fantastic scores on his homework and tests after studying with Tim. My son and I are very pleased with Tim as a tutor; I think you will be, too. We recommend Tim to meet your tutoring needs.
