Professor Garcon is a scholar at Acting, When I saw him I quickly recognised him from the Show Time Original tv show "Magic City" I had so many questions and because Professor Garcon experienced it all for the past 5 years and never needed an agent It gave me confedence in my self to see it through by myself. I hope to take further classes in the future unfortunately he lives in Virginia and I live in Florida.

I work with students to learn how to study a Shakespearean text considering scansion, historical context, and imagery to help my students gain experience with thorough character development work. Students will learn how to use scansion to help them understand the writer's intent to give the actor the most choices in terms of how to speak each line. The goal of all these exercises will be to help students deliver Shakespearean lines naturally, as if Shakespeare's language was second nature.

Of the different instructors I have collaborated with, Sarah is by far one of the instructors who has most consciously worked to make sure that her course design met the goals and learning outcomes of the curricula. From the first day I met her, she already had a syllabus design that met any suggestions I might make from my previous years' experience teaching courses in our program. I know she worked actively with others in the program in designing her materials, and she took all their comments to heart, building her syllabus around their recommendations for achieving learning outcomes.
In addition to creating assignments that clearly and usefully supported the goals of the program, Sarah incorporated the community contributions elements of the program, as well. She invited speakers from the campus community and the broader community. The students responded positively to all of these speakers, and they actively incorporated the ideas they learned from them in their work for the course.
The students' final presentations are the best indication of how successful Sarah's course was. The students were asked to use their academic research paper to create a policy paper or deliverable to a stakeholder of the students' choosing. The students created such fantastic presentations, that some of them could perhaps have been sent to the intended stakeholder--if we had the right contacts--with only minor revisions. The final presentations indicated that they achieved the learning outcomes of the course.

Thanks to Sarah's help with my high school daughter's writing, my daughter achieved major milestones in her work as a creative writer. Sarah helped my daughter learn how to write in genres she never had before (poetry, short stories, and drama) and to have more confidence in her ability as a writer and a person. Also, whenever I wrote Sarah with questions about her sessions with my daughter, she always took time to write thoughtful responses that showed how much she cared about my daughter's growth.

I got my start in the 80s at Stand Up NY comedy club. Throughout my life as a serious concert pianist, musician, writer and educator, comedy has been a shelter and a lifesaver. I met Woody Allen for conversation and some comparative opinions on his work, our favorite book stores, etc and it sparked a further desire to do some acting in film, writing and improvisation. As an improvisor in my own field of music, improvisation always came naturally to me.

I learned how to deal with stage fright from my professional family of musicians and some of the greatest teachers/performers of the world with whom I studied at Juilliard. Yes, the same place that saw Robin Williams and Kline and others do their thing. I hung out with actors on the third floor when I was not rehearsing music on the 5th. Made friends. Lived in LA. Wrote music and acted for films. Got published. Started a comedy concert tour aboard the historic Delta Queen steamboat line in New Orleans all the way to ...

I have been studying piano with Joseph for nearly five years. In that time, I’ve learned more about the piano and musical interpretation than I ever thought possible.

Joseph’s technical ‘short cuts’ are amazing! He illustrates ways for your hands and your mind to work that are tailor made for you. Learning from him is so fun it seems almost effortless.

The way Joseph teaches allows you to develop at your own pace. The atmosphere is always relaxed yet everything moves along quickly.

At the open classes I attend, his other students are progressing very rapidly too. After each class, we share our impressions. The mood is elated because it feels like we stepped back in time and into history.

Joseph often quotes inspired wisdom of his historic teachers in our lessons. He is a great inspiration on his own with great musical insights.

I’m playing Beethoven and Chopin works I never thought I could approach at this stage of study, with great depth of understanding. I now play with greater passion and skill, get compliments from everyone I play for, and no longer worry about playing in public.

I look forward to each and every lesson with Joseph. His encouragement and support makes learning so rewarding! Anyone who finds this musical treasure is a lucky person and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

Joseph shared his composition at the bedside of a dying man. Everyone listened and stopped crying for a moment. We were transported from the terrible tragedy into his world of beautiful music. His compassion and sensitivity of spirit touched us. When he teaches this gift to others, the world becomes a better place.

A great teacher and an amazing pianist! This was an experience of a lifetime for me. I have studied for many years but have never met anyone who can explain and demonstrate with such depth and clarity. In one lesson I learned more than I have in the past year! I am so grateful and would recommend this masterful teacher to everyone.

"The first lesson was super relaxed. Vary basic, let's-get-to-know-you, type stuff. We read a few monologues, did some script analysis and set-up a lesson plan. He asks good questions and also had good answers for mine. Tyler has strong leadership and teaching abilities that flow naturally. You can tell this is what he does best and that he probably does is better than a lot of people who also try to. I've been studying various forms of arts for the last decade or so, and I can honestly say that classes with him have been the most beneficial as far as performing arts goes. We've been working together for almost a year now and I am very excited for the next season :D"

"We had such a great time with Briana! I surprised my boyfriend with a Hip Hop dance class for our anniversary and Briana made the afternoon so much fun. I am not a dancer (at all) and she was able to get me out of my shell and moving to the music in no time.

Our appointment was a 60min session and we both felt that was a perfect amount of time for us. Briana also included a warm up and cool down which both of us appreciated.

Briana, was also very flexible in terms of appointment time, song choice, and choreography. If there was a move that wasn't feeling quite right or a step we couldn't master she would change up the steps or patiently walk us through the movement again.

We had such a good time we will be booking with her again soon!"
