Excellent instruction! I've been taking violin lessons with Mariana for already 3 years and couldn't be happier with my improvement! Highly knowledgeable, caring and patient. I appreciate her ability to fixing issues from the root instead of mending them, which has been fundamental not only to my advancement but also to the refinement of my teaching skills. Highly recommended!

For many years I sang in my school Chamber Choir and took voice lessons. The choir performed regularly in pubic and in statewide competitions. I also have years of experience teaching the basics of singing in a low pressure way.
Topics we learn about include breathing and breath control, pitch and intervals, keys and scales and singing harmony. I can accompany a student while they sing, and hopefully teach them the basics of accompanying themselves.

About David

My name is David and I'm a professional musician who just moved to North Austin. I came from Cincinnati, where I went to the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music, taught dozens of students at all levels and played regular gigs every weekend. I searched for an excellent upright bass teacher for a good while. Then I found David Lloyd. David is patient, humorous, friendly, knowledgeable and very professional. He carefully taught me all the necessary groundwork to enable me to continue on my own for a while. In a few months I will, without question, continue my studies with David. I would, without hesitation, recommend David to anyone interested in seriously studying the Upright Bass.

David is awesome with kids, very calm and works well with those who need a little more encouragement. We’ve been with him for 3 months and are happy with the progress.

The magic of the movies lies in the teams that make them possible. All kinds of influences converge to create a piece of music, and in film one of the most important is the relationship between the director and the composer. This relationship is what inspired Justin Hurwitz to create 1900 piano demos for La La Land. It's what sparked the idea behind John Williams' Iconic theme for Star Wars. We will delve deeper into character and story, and learn ways to compose music that truly enhances the picture. We will study how to create music with an arc, and that tells its own story. We will also hone technical skills in orchestration and in the latest software. We will learn about thematic development and constructing leitmotifs by studying scores such as The Godfather and The Lord of the Rings.

About Mahlon

I am a dedicated teacher, pianist, composer and conductor. I love working with students and am happy to find the right method for each person. I graduated from the Royal College of Music in London and the Jacobs School of Music. My experience covers a wide range of musical styles and genres. I woul

"I love taking my online classes with Lindsay! Having a really busy schedule, I thought at first this was an indulgence to have a class in the comfort of my own home, however I've rethought that since I've started. These are necessary to keeping, not just my physique in shape, but my ballet up to par, as well as my mental state of being calm, focused & happy. Lindsay is very skilled at shifting each class to what is best for me that day. She's skilled & knowledgeable, proficient, professional, friendly, fun & gives me a thorough workout! Thank you Lindsay!"

"I initially started with Darren in Orlando in 1990. Being a talent manager I wanted to understand acting better to better help my clients needs. After a few lessons I had learned so much that I required my entire client stable of about 25 people to take his class. He had to add an additional night to handle my people. In a couple weeks I saw incredible growth. In a few months I had the best acting stable in Orlando. My people were working.

Darren is one of the most talented actors and teachers I’ve ever come across. But he’s not the coach for someone who takes it lightly. He’ll work your butt off."

"Shelley is one of the most dedicated coaches I have ever worked with. My name doesn't get lost amongst her other students. When it's time for class, she not only is ready to go with a lesson plan, but it's abundantly clear she spends her own time outside of class prepping for me with scripts and feedback on any work I sent her during the week. After a year of being her student, I have learned so much technique and range. She is very well educated, knows her craft immensely, and her chemistry and dedication was apparent from the start. I've truly never had a coach as involved and diligent as her."
