In this beginning level course, we are going to learn about hula hooping. We learn how to move the body to push the hoop around your waist, hands, ankles and simple across the body and illusion tricks. This is a fun way to get our bodies moving or use as a work out. As we progress through the basics of hooping, we will also learn traveling steps and turns with our hoops. Remember, practice means progress. Keep dancing. Keep moving. <3
I am an AFPA certified personal trainer and hula hoop expert. In addition to working as a personal trainer at LaFitness, I have taught Hooping for Fitness and Performance at a local community center. I would love to help a novice or intermediate to improve his or her fundamental hooping skills as well as learn some new exciting tricks.
Hula hooping is a magical form of movement that is as much fun to learn as it is to watch. It is a great work out and stress relief. I love to teach and guide others on their hoop journeys.
