I am a highly skilled and experienced teacher, specializing in  Microbe Spirit Guides. As a mystical microbiologist, I have a deep understanding of the intricate connections between Microbe Spirit Guides and human beings. As an accomplished artist and author, I use these creative talents to help you connect with the microbes that clean Mother Earth. My passion for Microbe Spirit Guides emerged when I was doing research as an environmental microbiologist at Cornell University and simultaneously learning shamanic practices from Native American Elders. I provided expert guidance with animal medicine cards in at Essential Elements Apothecary Shop in Portland Oregon to those seeking guidance from animal guides. With my extensive knowledge and expertise in microbiology, I developed an oracle card set from my original artwork and wrote a 198-page book titled “Microbe Whisperer: Cards for Environmental Healing: Divination and Education”.  I am dedicated to helping you learn from these tiny animal guides by providing you with the tools to become a Microbe Whisperer too.

JeM, Ph.D. was born on earth, in the 20th century. She is an environmental microbiologist, a mystic, an artist, a writer and the creator of 44 original paintings of microbes or microbial communities that keep our planet clean and habitable.

While trained as a research scientist at Cornell University, earning her doctorate, she follows a mystical path, which leads her to apply multidimensional solutions to problems in science and in life. Through her personal spiritual experience, she has worked with the types of animal guides that are macroscopic, that is, which can be seen with the unaided eye, such as lions, dolphins and eagles. But microbes are amazing creatures, and since they've impressed JeM with their capacity to thrive in unusual environments, and also manage to clean up many of our human-made messes, she realized that they are also animal guides, of the microscopic variety. With the flick of an enzymatic pathway or the production of an unusual protein, microbes have the ability to create a home in microenvironments that would kill most other kinds of life.

Whether it's a place that's hot and acidic or boasts of below zero temperatures, you can bet there's a microbe who's made itself comfortable there. And if we ever needed some guidance on how to not only survive but to thrive in unhospitable environments, it is now. Our world is changing constantly, and we need to learn to find ways to change with it, successfully.

These amazing microbes are illustrated with paintings, described by haiku, summarized scientifically, and finally, give us some spiritual insight as other animal guides do, by how they apply their unique biological natures to achieve a successful existence by solving problems in their chosen micro niche.

What are Microbe Spirit Guides?
In the past, all of our ancestors relied on signals from nature to guide their choices in their life journeys. They used the stars to navigate and to learn about themselves. They had dialogues with the plants and trees. And, they observed the animals around them, learning from them and being guided by how these animals survived using their unique body types and abilities to eat, ward off predators and survive through the changes in the seasons. Basically, Microbes are living creatures that are too small for humans to see, without the use of a microscope. All of these trillions of microbes have superpowers that can help us live better lives - in harmony with nature and with our own bodies.

I offer insight into Microbe Spirit Guides using a 44-card oracle deck. With my own original artwork and deep understanding of microbes, I create a portal through which you can connect to your microbe spirit guides.

A WINOGRADSKY COLUMN IS A MICROBIAL “GARDEN” OR “CITY”
that grants you a window through which to witness the birth and growth of a microcosm of earth’s microbial community. You can make your own microbe city a jar with a few simple ingredients. The Winogradsky column creates an artificial replicate of what goes on in different levels of the soil, showing clearly how these diverse communities are stratified. These layers of different bacterial communities are separated by their access to oxygen.
