About Laurel

I have been playing violin since 1st grade, and speaking Spanish since kindergarten!

I have extensive Music Education experience and was the Music Director at a summer camp in Indiana! I play all styles, from fiddle to classical to country to jazz and improv violin and can teach any and all!

I have been speaking Spanish fluently since 2008, when I studied with IU Honors Program in Leon, Spain for 7 weeks of all Spanish! We took classes in Grammar, Literature, Culture, and Accent work, and I have been speaking consistently and fluently ever since!

Ashli A.

Riverdale, GA

About Ashli

Hi! My name is Ashli and I have been a professional actress for over 20 years. I have several professional (TV/Film) credits and I have been in over 20 stage plays. In addition to my professional career, I have been studying acting for over 15 years and hold a bachelors degree in theatre acting from The California Institute of the Arts.

I began coaching and directing actors about 10 years ago. I can teach any age (5+) and any experience level, though, having been a child actor myself, I connect especially well with kid and teen actors. My teaching methods are rooted in several different techniques (method, Uta Hagen, Stanislavsky) but overall, my approach is one that immerses the actor in their work fully. Our sessions will engage your mind, body, and spirit with the hopes that you will become a well rounded and captivating artist and

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

About Starrla

I am an instructor at the local Technology Center. I have been signing since 1990. I started out in a night college class as a junior in high school. My dad told me I needed to get a head start on my college life. I asked him what was I going to take...He opened up the newspaper and there it was...The headlines read...New class to offered, Sign Language. I enrolled the next day and have been signing ever since. I have to say it was difficult at first because I speak english, and all the words like and, but, or, was etc were NOT in the signing vocabulary.

Sign Language is not something you will learn overnight. You also have to practice or you will loose what you have gained. I still to this day practice. I practice while I am driving and well needless to say people stare at me....Oh well at least I know I am retaining my pas

sion. I stay involved with the Deaf community as much as I possibly can. I do have many Deaf friends that well keep me on my toes at times. They like to facetime me and show me a new sign they either made up or someone has showed them and they do not understand why it means what it does. I hope you will give me the opportunity to teach you ASL. It is my passion and I love to see people have an interest.
Thank you and hope to see you soon

About Mihaela

I like to try to be the most helpful I can be! Let me know what you would need help with, and I'll respond, whether or not I can help you. My passion is to play violin and to help students.

I went to a Seventh-day Adventist school from Kindergarten to grade twelve. Then, I went to a Seventh-day Adventist university. After that, I volunteered as an elementary school teacher in Majuro, Marshall Islands for two years (2015-2017).

I then was a teacher's aid in Port Hardy, British Columbia in the 2017-2019 school year. From September - December 2018, I taught grades 1,3, and 4 in a small Seventh-day Adventist school in Bella Coola, British Columbia. Now, I'm an on-call teacher aid / teacher for all the schools in the Bella Coola valley. These schools include School District 49, Nuxalk Acwsalcta Academy of Learning, and the Seventh-day A

dventist school.

Mihaela is classically trained, but enjoys all kinds of music for fiddle/violin, and is quick at picking up new melodies, and also playing by ear. This skill makes her really good at being about to help with whatever songs a student would like to learn. Because of her computer skills, she is also able to introduce the various apps that are available for enhancing practice on the instrument. She has a really good ear, and because she sings harmony well, she can also play spontaneous harmony for fiddle tunes. Mihaela is a kind, patient and fun loving person, which I think would make her great with children. I am many years her senior, and have enjoyed a few lessons with her.

"A few months ago I stumbled upon TAKE LESSONS website and found that there were several ASL instructors ready to teach me ASL in the privacy and comfort o
f my own home. The thought of learning from home sealed the deal! No driving to/from school. I read through the different instructor profiles and decided to sign up with Tony Slate. I’m so happy with my decision. Tony is very easy going and makes the lessons fun. In the 8 sessions I’ve had so far, I’ve learned enough to have mini signing conversations and Tony is also helping me to gain an understanding of Deaf culture. I’m planning on continuing for at least a year more and I’m even looking forward to attending some Deaf events in my local community. I wish I knew about Take Lessons years ago. I highly recommend Tony – 5 stars for sure!"
"I have observed many of Tara’s lessons. They are always very fun and engaging. She is sure to match student interests and needs with lesson topics. She al
so does a good job of giving feedback to students to help them improve. Highly recommended!"
