I've been teaching private acting lessons since 2001 and have loved helping my students get cast in their dream roles, increase their range as an actor and improviser, and learn how to emotionally move an audience. As the Artistic Director of the Exuberant Theatre Company in New York City and having acted professionally in the USA, Italy, and China, I can bring a wide variety of games and exercises for you to try that will be fun and quickly increase your skill and confidence!  My company Exuberant Theatre Company has been wowing audience around New York City since 2017 including a multi-year run at the Broadway Comedy Club.  Let me teach you all the skills you need to be a competent and enjoyable improviser.  I will recommend books like the UCB Manual and others.

Sean is great! He is fun to be around and gets me thinking outside of the box when it comes to improv, points out things I should pay attention to, and guides me in ways around what beginners usually do.

Sean was an awesome instructor for our improv team.  NYC's all the lesser for his absence.  

One of the things that set Sean apart from other coaches was his attention to detail in character approach.  His acting instruction helped many of us embrace characters in a more realistic way, which usually resulted in way funnier scenes full of discovery instead of "invention."

Sean is a wonderful improv teacher. He coached my improv team during several practice sessions. Sean provides detailed feedback and specific notes on improv, comedy, acting, etc., which I found extremely helpful for my individual growth as a performer. He was also a huge help for our team as we grew from being a casual level 1 practice group to eventually becoming an indie team and performing shows around New York. I always cite Sean’s help as being instrumental in my growth as an improviser.
