Dance

I have been taking dance classes since I was five years old, and I am now thirty-six. That's a long time. I got my first teaching gig at fourteen. I have studied ballet, tap, jazz, Scottish Highland, and ballroom dancing. I worked as a dance teacher at MacKinnon Dance Academy and Jill Johnson's Dance Studio in California teaching Scottish Highland, jazz, and ballet. I went on to work at Arthur Murray in Ventura, California, becoming a certified ballroom dance instructor. I moved to Utah where I graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in Exercise and Wellness and a minor in Ballroom Dance. I also worked there as a student instructor teaching BYU beginning and intermediate level social dance classes. I graduated with my master's degree in Dance Movement Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths University in London UK.

I love teaching dance because it is sharing what I am so passionate about with others. Wherever you are on your path, I hope you'll allow me to play a part in that journey.

great lesson. Megan is very knowledgeable and an awesome teacher.

We worked on basics for Waltz and Foxtrot, and Rock step for Foxtrot. Great.

Megan is a great teacher, very encouraging, organized and  detailed. She plans the sessions very well.  Love working with her.

She is very warm and encouraging as well as, of course, very knowledgeable and skilled.  She is helping me to work on exactly the refreshers that I need, as well as to acquire skills and steps that I was never able to master.

My daughter was excited to learn more after her lesson. She has already set goals for future lessons with her instructor.
