I graduated from the University of South Florida where I received my BA in Theatre performance & Communication with a minor in Dance. My Music and Performance experience started when I was 6 singing in choir, school productions, and taking piano lessons. I continued on with group ensembles, musical theatre shows and later on touring with the Spanish Lyric Theatre in Both English and Spanish in throughout Florida after college.

I have been teaching one on one and group lessons for 15 years in various subjects, Including Music, Dance, Theatre, Academic Tutoring (Eleme
ntary/Middle School subjects: English, Writing, Reading, Math, Social Studies, Reading, Writing, Learning Skills, Civics, French, and test preparations), and Culinary Lessons.

*for travel to location lessons please contact me prior to booking to check location and availability, due to designated areas I already have established teaching and only travel to.

Cooking Lessons I conduct online, and all subjects can be done online also.

I like the combination of relaxed and goal oriented. I like to get to know my students and learn about about expectations and goals they have for themselves. Then I set up a plan that will help them achieve their goals and get them closer to what they want from their lessons. I take into consideration their interest, style, and help them to find their unique learning style.

I do have some guidelines for parents and students. If the student is a minor, I ask that the parent be in the house for the lesson. I also ask that the lesson be performed in the Living room or Music Space.

About Elisabeth
Hi! I am a graduate of Temple University's Boyer College of Music, where I earned a degree in Music Theory. Violin and tuba are my primary instruments. I originally began my studies at Boyer in the Music Education department, and through my time there I have a lot of experience teaching music, especially to kids. I have taught high school marching bands for the past five years, most recently as hornline tech for Ridley High School's marching band in the 2017 season.

I marched contra (tuba) in the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps from 2011-2013. During my time at Temple I participated in the Symphony Orchestra, Concert Band, Diamond Marching Band, Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble, and multiple chamber groups. Musical groups with which I am currently involved include Port Arthur, Iris Freeheart, and Polkadelphia, and I have recorded as a studio musi
cian for The Dull Blue Lights (formerly The Snails), No Thank You, Thin Lips, Chet Williams, and others.

I have also been studying German since a very young age and studied abroad in Germany in college. I earned a minor in German and am a member of the national German honor society, Delta Phi Alpha.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions!

Outstanding instructor, professionally gifted, helpful, patient and personable. I was fortunate to have found Elisabeth to teach my 9 year old son how to play the violin. Her teaching style was a perfect match for him and she was able to keep him motivated to play and improve and also achieve his goal of making the junior orchestra for his school.

Great first lesson! I'm looking forward to digging deeper into the verb tenses and to continue conversing in Spanish. Power point, Google, all sort of visuals have been used and they all made our lesson not just a virtual encounter but a real life experience. Thank you!

About Naoko
Hi, everyone! I am Naoko. I live in the upper New York state and teach Japanese online and in-person since 2010.

I am a friendly, cheerful and enthusiastic teacher.
I love teaching and interacting with people from all over the world. I would love to help you study. Japan has so many interesting little cultural quirks that foreigners want to know about. I know a lot about the traditional culture of Japan, feel free to ask me all the questions that you like.

My lessons are full of originality and are designed to match your level and meet your goals. For beginning students, I focus on teaching grammar first and using that grammar to practice making short sentences. For the middle and advanced levels students, we will work together to strengthen your vocabulary, listening and reading skills. Also they write composition homework every
time, and we correct mistakes together in the next lesson. Advanced level students discuss one or two news articles or themes which you decide.

So why don’t you take a trial lesson and start learning Japanese with me?
I look forward to seeing you soon!
