Patricia was an excellent teacher! Very knowledgeable and patient. It was my first time taking on the piano and she was very helpful in every step. I felt I learned a lot during our lessons and she would also give you great tips on how to practice on your own, which was key for me. She was also very flexible, which I appreciated as work got in the way of our scheduled times on occasion. Highly recommend!!! You will not be disappointed.

Thanks for viewing my profile. It's important to select a teacher that you are comfortable with. Allow me to give you some background information about myself. I graduated from Rider University in New Jersey where I was a student mentor to MBA students from Shanghai, China. Immediately after graduating, I travelled to China and taught there for over 5 years. I then moved to Malaysia where I oversaw all operations at a new international school. I think transferred to our university where I continued to teach English to beginner through upper intermediate level students from all over the world. A large number of our students were from China, all over the Middle East, Korea, Japan, and various countries around Southeast Asia. If you think that we could start a partnership as you learn English, feel free to contact me!

Mr. Brooks was incredible instrumental music instructor for my son. As my husband (a drummer) was unable to teach my son we did not think he had a “knack” for drumming. However, with Mr. Brooks’ guidance he excelled and was even accepted into our school district’s gifted and talented music program. Mr. Brooks is a talented educator who passes along his passion and excitement for music. My son looked forward to his lessons every week and became a talented player with his guidance.

Spencer Brooks is truly a very special educator! He connects with his students. They know he cares about them educationally and as people. My daughter always felt comfortable in class expressing herself. Spencer is fun, caring, and a wonderful role model for his students. My daughter was incredibly lucky to have him as her teacher for over 3 years.

About Amy
Hi, my name is Amy. I recently graduated from Rutgers University in New Brunswick Business School last year with a Bachelors in Science degree in Business Analytics and Information Technology. While going to school full time, I've had experience with tutoring kids, young adults, and adults English. I have a passion for helping kids and young adults to speak, read and write English as their second language. As someone who was born and raised in America, surprisingly, English was not my first language. My childhood consisted of countless years of perfecting the American English Language while maintaining my native language. Currently, I am studying my GRE/GMATs for Graduate School. Aside from school and teaching English, some of my other interests/hobbies include: Traveling, road trips, reading, discovering new food places, watching re-runs
of "Friends", volunteering, and coding!
